Chapter 4

Waking you excited for the day ahead, the Thought of free food call chat and an entire library of books got you in a hurry. Willow followed you around as you packed the car, and then you both had breakfast. You took your time getting ready as the compound was only a 45-minute drive away. You finally packed your suitcase and got in the car, you put on some music and started to drive. Your uncle had put in a junior version of F.R.I.D.A.Y into the cars computer system allowing you to text and call people while driving and have complete contact with your uncle in case of an emergency. Are you decided to text James that you are en route to your uncles and then text Tony and say that you would be at the compound in 40-50 minutes. Driving to the compound didn't take you long. However, you always enjoyed listening to music while Willow slept in the back. As you never really left the town you live in; it always seemed like a small adventure visiting your Uncle. You sang along to the playlist and enjoyed the freedom of being by yourself before a week full of family and chosen family that were bound to have many questions and would want to spend a lot of time with you. as you were driving up the driveway to the compound you started to feel anxious, knowing that there are new people who have joined the team and if you're always self-conscious that someone may not like you because of the things that you had done in your past. Once you had parked the car, you took a minute for yourself to take some deep breaths, and Willow, being the support dog that she is, climbed over to the passenger seat and laid her head on your lap. You sat there for a moment and then got out, opened the door for Willow, and grab to your handbag. When you walked to the door, you were greeted by Pepper.

Pepper - *hugging you* welcome back, Y/N! It's is so good to see you! *turning to Willow* And hello to you as well! *stroking her head*

Y/N - Hi Pepper! How are you? and How's my favourite cousin?

You and Pepper start to walk up the stairs to the main floor where Tony and Bruce's lab, the meeting room, and living room/kitchen was.

Pepper - I am good, getting a bit stressed with Thanksgiving dinner but dealing with Tony, I've dealt with worse. Morgan is fine; she is enjoying having all the new faces and people around now that the Avengers has become a bigger team.

Y/N - *chuckling* he is a handful! I am glad she is entertained!

Pepper - you know it is never dull around here!

She stopped outside the living room. You could already hear Nat and Wanda chatting away.

Pepper - I shall leave you in the capable hands of the girls in there. Your room on the floor above... The same one as you had when you came back to the country. There is a bed for Willow in your room, and I have placed a bed in the library, gym and garden for her.

Y/N - thank you, I know Tony doesn't like having pets, so it's kind of you to take of her as well as me.

Pepper - well, you and I have always bent the rules Tony tries to set out. I will love you and leave and you with these two who are very excited to see you!

You hugged her and watched her walk towards the lab. Turn into the living room door; you turned the knob and looked over the room to see Nat and Wanda In the midst of gossip, not even paying attention to the fact that someone had just walked in through the door.

Y/N - *clearing your throat* well, I thought you two would be a lot more excited to see me?

*both turned their heads to see you at the door*

Nat+Wanda - Aaaaaaah *screaming and running towards you*

You hug them both in one big group hug and then individually.

Y/N - now that was a better reaction.

Wanda - we are so sorry, but nat was telling me about her latest date with Steve.
