JUNGKOOK

I took a deep breathe before knocking to the Rabbit's office.

Three knocks and the door opened. She was sitting in her swivel chair, but she's not facing me. I think she's talking to someone because I can hear a faint voice coming from her.

But when she turned around to face me, oh boy I was wrong. She's not talking to someone on her phone. She's talking to her gun! And that gun is now aimed at my head.

I raised my hand as a sign of surrender. "I'm not infected"

Nayeon rolled her eyes at me. "What's the news?" She opened one of the drawers on her desk and hid back the gun.

"What now? Did you accidentally turned into a 3 year old baby who can't speak?"

Geez. It's 6 am in the morning and she's already so grumpy. "Won't you offer me a tea or coffee first?"

"Won't you shut up and just tell me what you got?" She replied irritated.

"Actually Nayeon, I don't know how to tell you this.." I faked a sad face for dramatic effect.

"Just tell me Jeon. Jesus!" I almost smiled when I heard how stressed her voice was. She's starting to get curious BWAHAHAHAHAHA (evil laugh).

"It's a good news! One of the boys saw her eating inside a restaurant-"

"Where?" she stood up and was ready to leave but I stopped her.

"Calm down Nayeon. I haven't finished yet"

"What else do you have to say? I already heard what I want to hear" she raised her eyebrow.

I sighed at her rudeness. "Actually there's a bad news too. So, I went into that restaurant and investigated it myself. I searched thoroughly their guests and reservations, but there's no Yoo Jeongyeon in there. I even watched their CCTV footages to make sure"

"I could really shoot you right now, Jeon" her voice was sharp as a knife.

And I noticed that she's back to her dull and scary aura again. Now I regret playing with her feelings earlier. I never want to see her this lifeless. It hurts you know. She's like my bigger sister, even though we're not blood-related. She might be cruel and merciless on the outside, but she has a soft side too. She treated me like I'm a part of her family.

"But don't you worry boss! Jimin and I negotiated with one of the best bounty hunter in the whole world. He'll report back to us today, we'll be able to meet him later" I said with a proud grin.

"That's probably the most nicest thing you've ever done in your life. You can go now. Just text me the time and place" she dismissed.

"Also! Before I leave, I brought you coffee and pancakes from a nearby shop. They're really good. Bye!" I bowed before taking my leave.

I'm actually going to meet Jimin at the shop I brought Nayeon's breakfast from. He went there first, because he said he can't handle the hunger anymore.

I'm actually worried for Nayeon. I have noticed that she seems to be skinny than she was before, she also looks like she's been restless base on the dark circles under her eyes. It's been 6 months since Jeongyeon went missing. And under that month, Nayeon never left her office. I don't even know if she still takes shower. Well, when I went there it doesn't smell bad, but a strong smell of alcohol entered my nose.

This kind of Nayeon is scary. She's not on a killing rage, which is what she usually does whenever she's stressed or mad. Her father is also asking for her presence, but she doesn't respond to any invites. Even her mother came once to her office, but Nayeon just talked to her for five minutes and then she instructed me to take her mother home.
