We sat outside for the rest of the time. I tried my hardest to stay out there, not wanting to go inside, but he was persistent to knowing where his classes were. I finally gave in after the second time of him giving me the puppy dog eyes. Those green eyes.

They were like staring into a green field, with light green paint spattered threw his eyries. I could stare at them for hours but instead of being a creep, I got up and waited for josh to get up himself.

"You should know your the first to actually get me to smile, or even laugh in like 2 years." I told him as we started to walk.

"Really? You should laugh more often, you have a really pretty laugh I might add" josh just glanced at me with a small smile.

We finally got to the back doors.. 'Here we go' I thought to myself trying to brace myself to what was about to happen. Josh opened the doors and held them for me as I walked threw. "Thank you" I said quietly.

Just as I said those few words. A sandwich hit me right in the face, it's not like I should have any special treatment because of the new kid. Nope. I don't even think they noticed him, that was a good thing in my eyes, I didn't want to see him get hurt like myself. "Holy crap! Are you okay?" He just got right in the way and made me look at him, it surprised me greatly.

"Yeah I'm fine, just ignore it. There will be more to come k? Lets just keep moving" I grabbed his arm to try and drag him away, making it clear I didn't want to stick around there.

After about an apple, 2 sandwiches and a book. We finally got to Josh's first class. It was the history class, "you have this class first, the teacher is pretty nice, just don't stare at his head. He doesn't like it when you stare." He gave me a funny look, but still smiled.

"Your other classes are actually with me. It's just this one you have to survive by yourself." He nodded in agreement, "my locker is right here, so just wait for me here when your done." I pointed to the locker that had been graffitied with notes. I looked up to see josh was no longer smiling, but now frowning.

"What's the matter?" I now made him look at me, "why do you get bullied so much. Doesn't anyone do anything about it?" He looked at me with the saddest eyes I've ever seen. "No. I'd like to say yes that there are people here who do care. But I would be saying the biggest lie of them all. The teachers ignore everything and the kids get away with it." I shrugged from the thought " you get used to the abuse."

"Well I would never do that too you, I promise you that. " he seemed to be very truthful to those words, but even then, I didn't believe him.

"Hey freak! So I see you found someone new to brain wash. Don't let her get into her head, you should probably get way from her fast before something might happen!" Some guy walked by with his friends, then as they left they laughed at what the other had said.

I still stared at the guys walking away as they laughed, when out of no where, Josh hugged me. My eyes widened in the shock of him hugging me, I didn't protest, I just stood there. When I noticed he wasn't letting go, so I put my head on his shoulder. This was very comfy, being held by another. He didn't let go for another minute, "thank you." I gave him a small smile as he stood straight up, I hadn't noticed he was taller till now, I liked it. He was about ,I'm not sure, maybe 5, 6 inches taller than myself. Anyways I liked it.

"You seemed to need one" he just looked at me, now with a small smile on his face.

Just then the bell had rung, there wasn't anyone around so, it felt like a ghost town for about a minute, then the hall had gotten filled with students, just appearing out of no where. "You have your books? Oh! Do you know where your locker is?" I had completely forgotten. I looked back at his sheet, what irony, it was right next to mine. "Oh never mind, it's next to mine" I walked over to his, opened the combo and then proceeded to my locker.

Next thing I know I get my head smashed into my locker door. "Fuck!" I screamed. "Don't use that type of language young lady!" A teacher screamed at me from the other side of the hall. I just gave him a 'what the fuck' look. I went back to what I was trying to do when I was intorupeted, but then it happened again. Smashed into my locker door. This time I was starting to bleed. "Great" I looked at my hand that now had blood on the tips of my fingers.

"Forget it, I'll get my books later, are you ready?" I looked over to where Josh had been standing, he just stared at me with a kind of shocked face. " its fine, lets go" he still didn't move, so I grabbed his arm with my free hand. Still holding my head we made it to our class.

"Does this happen often?" He looked at me, again with concern. " not usually, I guess there mixing it up today"
