I laid on the cold floor, beaten, burned, and raped.
I was now chained to the back of my wall in the basement of my house I've grown to know too well. Josh still sat in the dark in his chair, but now he faced me. Mouth covered and still tied to the chair.
Matt would come down every day and would torture us, specifically me. Josh had to watch while Matt did whatever to me. Whenever I looked up I could see josh. His eyes filled with pain and tears. He would make sounds in protest but it would only encourage Matt to hurt me even more.
I would question almost each day why no one had found us, why my mom or step dad would never find us tied up in the basement. Matt later told me that he had sent them on a trip, no where specific but on a trip where they would be gone for a long time I guess.
They didn't second guess it for one minute because well, they saw him as an angel instead of the demon he was.
We sat in the dark, cold room. Josh had moved his bandana out of his mouth just enough for him to talk,
"Baby?... Baby?.. Lex.." I lay curled in a ball, Matt had just left after a session. I didn't want to talk even though that's what josh wanted to do, he kept calling my name, asking if I was alright and if I was okay. He knew the answer so I didn't understand why he kept asking the same questions.
"Yeah" I groaned. My chest was in pain from being kicked.
"Are you alright" I shook my head even though I knew he couldn't see it.
"No josh, I'm not alright. So please stop asking the same damn question everytime." I was on the brinks of crying, and you could tell in my voice but I didn't.
                              "Sorry" he said quietly.
I rolled over towards the wall, feeling the stones under my body, piercing more of my open skin. My clothes had tattered over time and now had holes through out the cloth. Feeling the wounds from the cuts and burns across my back and forearms.
I reached out towards the wall, feeling it's cold ruff texture.
I put my hand under my head, keeping it like a pillow.
I wished for the day that we could finally escape, finally leave, be free.
But that dream seemed far away, since we had been in this basement for what felt like 2 weeks. No one was coming. Hope is fading with the near glimpse of a future.
Josh broke the silence that lingered in the air, with the crashing of his wooden chair falling to the ground, hearing the groans and the scratching of the chair sliding across the ruff concrete, I soon found josh above my head, still tied, and now smiling.
I turned my body around and now faced him directly. I kissed him and he kissed back, feeling his lips once again made me feel better. I knew he was there for me and I was there for him. We were going to try and stick it out till the end.
" I love you Alexis" josh said kissing me once again, "I love you too josh" I said breaking the kiss.
He placed his head next to mine, curling his face in my neck. Feeling his breath against my skin, giving me tingles. I placed my hand under mine, and his head so it didn't hurt as we slept. I would feel it eventually but it was better than nothing. I fell asleep soon after, possibly getting a better sleep than I had in a while.
                              ---
"Well well well-" my eyes flickered, adjusting to the light above me. I looked up to see Matt standing above us, looking down at us, having his hands on his hips.
" did we have a good sleep last night?" Tilting his head to the side, giving a devilish smile. It changed quickly, his face now full of anger, clenching his fists, lifting his leg up getting ready for a kick. Kicking myself right in the stomach, causing me to smash the head on Josh's who was still behind me.
