After a couple of minutes of waiting, I finally went to bed. I would expect something to come it of this, but really wasnt sure.

When I had awoke, there was a message. It was from josh.

"Morning Lex, sorry about yesterday. Hope everything's okay"

I responded " Morning, everything good, do you want to go and get a coffee or breakfast?"

Shortly after he sent a text

"Okay! Did u want to go to the little shop we found that one day?"

I responded with a yes, than got ready for the day. Putting on red converse, black skinnies, a black parade shirt and the leather jacket josh let me borrow.

I proceeded down the stairs to find the house strangely quiet. I walked to the kitchen and no one was there, the living room looked abandoned and the light downstairs was still on. I didn't bother looking down there just in case of anything.

I grabbed my keys and stuck them in my pocket and locked the door behind me. I was at Josh's less than 10 minutes.

He was waiting outside for me, he dressed in a similar way I had but different colours and had a misfits shirt on instead.

The air was getting nippy, which only meant one thing. Winter was coming.

Even in Florida it got cold.

Josh grabbed my hand and we began to walk the streets till we found our diner. Everything looked the same, the 70's look to it, the music in the same kind of generation.

We took a booth and proceeded to fiddle with one another's fingers. " when are you going back to school?" Josh asked,

I looked down at our hands, " I'm not sure, I have to see a therapist before I can go to school. The hospital is providing me with one, and is prescribing me with meds. But to be honest- " I looked out the window

"I don't want to go to school."

Josh squeezed my hand and looked at me, " I know you don't want to go, but it's our last year. Only a couple of months and we will be out of here, then we can go and... Go and have our own vacation. Away from here. Away from these people.-" he tried to assure me, giving me a slight puppy dog eyes, caressing the top of my hand.

" don't worry okay? I'm here. I will always be here."

"Okay" I said with a small voice, he patted my hand then let go once the waiter came.

The meal was wonderful and the coffee was a little strong to my liking but otherwise good.

We walked home and stopped at Josh's house.

" hey what's the date?" I asked

He looked at me with a questionable smile "it's November 3rd sweetheart"

"Oh.. Okay.. When's your birthday?"

Josh looked at me with a surprised look

" where did that come from? " he gave a laugh than proceeded

"It's in April, April 23rd, why when's yours? "

"Guess" I gave him a smile, and began to speed up a bit walking ahead but walking backwards to face him.

"Hmm... Did it already pass?"

I shook my head

"Hmm.. Is it.. Next month?"

"Nope" still smiling

"What about June?" My smile grown slightly bigger and I began to nod my head
