my father and grandfather are both surgeons
that's the only reason why i know all this stuff
some of this stuff might not be accurate though bc i'm not a surgeon!

me and subz had always been best friends. both being dirt poor, we only had each other. our parents both hated us, and we were always neglected. we both loved minecraft and building, although he was way better at building. he was more creative and i admired that. i had a tiny crush on him. okay fine, i had the biggest crush on him. vitalasy, him, and i were a trio. vitalasy knew about my crush, and constantly tried to put us together, but to no avail. i was the smartest of our trio and that's why after highschool, i became a surgeon. subz and vitalasy both went into content creation. i lost contact with both of them during residency. i worked at the local hospital, while vitalasy and subz both moved out, both becoming famous.
"dr. l/n (last name), there's a man, about 30 years old in the er, who has had pain in the stomach for the past month, sudden pain and sudden stops, and we took a ct scan and found kidney stones. his kidney stones are about 5 centimeters. blood pressure is normal. breathing is normal. he is currently in pain right now" my nurse ran to tell me, reading off her clipboard, as we're walking towards the main lobby
"give him ibuprofen right now, and send me the patient's information. i'll look at it right now, and i believe we have to perform surgery." i said doubling back to my office
i quickly run to my office, only to be stopped by my nurse yet again.
"dr. l/n, i'm so sorry but the patient is not reacting to the pain killers. we need to perform open surgery."
"alright, i'll go in." i said walking to the operating room.
about 15 minutes later, i find myself staring at one of my best friends. vitalasy.
i sighed out loud.
"what's wrong dr. l/n?" the nurse asked me
"nothing, don't worry about it."
i successfully performed the surgery and he was fine, but stuck in a hospital bed for about 2 days. i went to visit him when he was awake.
"y/n?" vitalasy asked confused
"not even a 'hi y/n'" i joked with him
"hi y/n, why are you here? did you come to visit me?"
"dummy, i work here. i literally performed surgery on you." i rolled my eyes
his eyes widened, "oh shit, sorry, i kinda forgot you were a surgeon."
"nah it's all good. how's content creation going?"
"really good, actually, been playing with different people, and on different servers" he shrugged
"how's subz?"
"i'm great thanks" i heard a voice behind me
"subz!" vitalasy said excitedly
"the trio is back" i laughed
"except one is in a hospital bed, one is working here, and one is a visitor" subz chuckled
"yeah... apparently i had a really bad kidney stone. y/n fixed me though"
"you performed his surgery?" subz asked surprised
"i'm not incompetent"i snorted
"well you were the smartest out of all of us" vitalasy pointed out
"well, boys, i still have a job to do, so if you'll excuse me" i told both of them apologetically
"no no, it's no problem" subz said as he waved goodbye
unfortunately, i still had a crush on him...
feelings are stupid.
3rd person POV
once y/n had left the room, subz let out a sigh.
"what's up" vitalasy asked
"when did n/n (nickname) get so hot?" he groaned
vitalasy let out a laugh "since when did you like them?"
"since forever." he admitted
vitalasy stared at him with a 'seriously' look
"why are you staring at me like that" subz whined
"bro... they liked you when we were young."
"SERIOUSLY??" subz internally groaned, "WHY AM I SO OBLIVIOUS?"
"maybe you should ask them out right now"
"dude. they probably moved on"
"you never know... just ask them out for coffee or something"
"no i'm gonna get rejected"
"i'll pay you 50 bucks to do it"
"deal."
they both laughed and subz texted y/n to meet him up at the cafe they had gone to as a child
'sure. when?' they asked
'after youre done'
'k'
'so dry smh'
'working'
'oh shit sorry'
y/n liked a message
y/n finally finished their work, having multiple surgeries after vitalasy's. they met up with subz and finally they asked, "so why'd you want to meet up?"
they were sitting down at a small table in the cafe after ordering their favorite drinks.
"well, vitalasy told me to reconnect with you because we have not talked in so long. so how are you?"
"i'm doing pretty well, i'm a surgeon at our hospital, still alone, and still smarter than you" they teased
"oh shut up" subz rolled his eyes playfully
they both laughed
"how are you?" y/n asked
"i'm doing fine too, i'm pretty famous now. you're talking to a famous person." he grinned
y/n giggled, "alright, and?"
"subscribe to my youtube channel" he joked
they snickered, "what else did you and vitalasy talk about"
"you, actually"
"oh? what about me" they asked curious
"that little you had a crush on me"
y/n turned into a tomato
"why did vitalasy tell you that" they complained, covering their face with their hands
"why? do you still like me?" he pressed on
"maybe." they said peeking out from their hands
"well, little subz liked you too"
"what about big subz" they asked
he laughed
"yeah, big subz too" he admitted
y/n had turned into a beet. (seriously how do you get this red)
once they peeked out, subz leaned forward and planted a kiss on their nose
"SUBZ"
"y/n!" he laughed
once y/n had turned into less of a tomato, they asked subz, "so are we dating or what-"
"if you want to" he offered
"alright" they laughed
