"Oh come on Taylor, you can't not come" Cassadee whined as I sat opposite her on the squishy couch in my living room a week later. I'd been invited to All Time Low's annual "fuck this record" bash tonight. They had one to blow off some steam every year apparently.

"But Cass" I sighed, racking my brain for an excuse

"Please" she pouted and I sighed, giving in.

"Yay" she squealed, jumping up and running down to my bedroom. I chuckled and followed her, seeing her disappear into my walk in wardrobe. She some how managed to find something she liked in my wardrobe - it was my lucky black dress and I said she could wear it. I don't think I've ever seen her smile more. I begrudgingly got dressed, well I took about an hour trying to find an outfit I was even remotely happy with. I found a crop top crushed and fallen on the floor I thought I'd lost in the move, it was black and with moons on the front - as hipster as it came. I teamed it with my green plaid skirt - fishnets and my leather jacket. I found my favourite heels, they were black and chunky with studs up the heels. Cassadee gasped as I walked back out the wardrobe.

"How do you manage it?" she giggled, gawping at my outfit. I blushed at her staring at me.

"Thanks Cass" I smiled, dropping my gaze from her as I squashed my hair under a beanie. Cassadee had called the guys saying I'd changed my mind and we walked over to the theirs together, Cass linked her arm through mine as we walked. I grinned, glad I changed my mind. I'd never had friends like this before. We reached their front door and I jabbed the doorbell, music already blasting so loud they were probably going to piss off the neighbors. The door was opened by a pretty girl with long blonde hair, she was about the same height as me but a totally different frame, she was curvy where as I was kinda weirdly skinny and glangly. She looked like Sarah with blonde hair.

"Oh hey Cassadee" she said, her voice was high and almost sickly sweet

"Hey Sandy, this is Taylor" Cass said as I followed her through the door

"Oooh, the famous Taylor!" Sandy giggled "hi I'm Sandy, I'm Zack's girlfriend"

"Oh" I smiled at her "hi!"

"Nice to finally meet you, I've heard a lot about you" she grinned as we pushed through people everywhere, none of whom I recognised. Sandy lead us through to the kitchen where Jack was with Zack, standing next to a huge table of drinks.

"Tay!" Jack grinned as I walked in, folding me into a huge bear hug, I was hugely taken a back but grinned, hugging back as much as I could with my trapped arms. He let go and I could smell alcohol on him - that explains the hug. I was growing to realise he was a definitely hugger. Though I smiled all the same, he'd started shortening my name last week, I kinda liked it because I had friends for the first time since moving. I saw Kailtin behind him, giving me the mother of all dirty looks.

"Hi Jack" I grinned and took a step away, not before he pushed a bottle of something into my hands "here, party started an hour ago!"

"Sorry we're late" Cass chipped in "someone took ages getting dressed"

"Well I think it was worth the wait" Jack said, wiggling his eyebrows at me, I rolled my eyes, giving him a playful shove - though I blushed all the same. Kaitlin sighed as if she was bored.

"Where's Alex?" I asked him, ignoring her.

"I last saw him in the backyard" Zack said, sipping on his beer, an arm around Sandy's shoulders.

"Go to him, Tay!" Jack grinned and I rolled my eyes again but walked out the backdoor in attempt to find him. Maybe in an alcohol induced state he'd actually ask me out. I squeezed my way through a crowd of people standing around a fire lit in Alex's barbeque.
