"I swear to god they just never stop working" Cassadee moaned as I stand making coffee in my kitchen for the four of them like some fucking maid. I'm such a push over but Alex gave me those damn puppy eyes and I caved and told them I'd make them coffee.

"Are they always this hard working?" I asked as the coffee maker started pouring dark liquid into the pot.

She smiled "Yeah, music is their life"

"It's nice" I commented "they're really dedicated"

"I guess so" she sighed "they're probably not gonna work for much longer anyway"

"Do you wanna just hang out 'till their done?" I asked, taking a sip out of Alex's coffee cause we took it the same way - volcano heat, black, one sugar "we could stick on another shitty movie?"

"Sounds great" she nodded, grabbing a couple mugs and we walked back through to the living room where the guys were all sprawled out, looking stressed, with scrunched paper and guitars sitting around them. I handed one cup to Zack and took another sip of Alex's before giving it to him.

"Yeah, that's what I want" he joked "your backwash"

"It was that or no coffee" I shrugged smiling at him "you're in my house, remember?"

He just chucked and took a gulp before going back to what he was doing. He'd been so preoccupied with writing the new record we hadn't really been alone at all and nothing more had happened between us. Which kinda sucked but I was growing to realise how much this new album meant to him, so I didn't really mind too much. Cassadee and I sat in the back room, we'd put on one of the Dark Knight films and Cass had fallen asleep barely 5 minutes in. The guys came through about half way through to say they were all just heading home because they were exhausted, well except Alex who squealed when he saw I had on Batman and launched himself on to the sofa next to me.

"Night you dorks" Jack chuckled, Rian carried Cass all bridal style and adorable out the door. I saw Jack wiggle his eyebrows at me as he slammed my front door behind him, I just rolled my eyes and turned back to Alex.

"You realise we're already half way through, right?" I ask Alex, as he grabs the throw of the back of the couch and snuggles down into the couch. Fucking adorable.

"I've seen it a million times I think I'll survive" he said and I giggled

"Yanno.." he said, smirking over at me "this movie can get pretty scary at times"

"Is that so?" I raised my eyebrows at him

"So yanno if you need protecting.." he said, raising his arm

"Fucking subtle, Gaskarth" I muttered, shuffling over and tucking under his arm. He chuckled, his chest vibrating under my head, his arm snaked all the way round my shoulders and crushed me into his side. I giggled, draping my legs over his lap and leaning back on the arm of the couch, the couch was pretty small so he still had his arm around me as I was tucked into his side. It was silent for a moment until he picked up the photo frame on the coffee table.

"If this your sister?" he asked, a little tentatively as if I might bite.

"Yeah" I nodded "It was taken a few months before she died"

"Which one is you?" he asked "You look identical"

"The one on the right" I smiled, the picture was taken on our 20th. We were both totally soaked through as we'd been thrown into the pool at our birthday bash by my dad and my older brother, Dave.

"You look so different now" he said

"You mean I'm not chubby anymore" I said

"No-no I just" he stuttered
