They're back at college for sophomore year, Miranda and Jess staying roommates as well as Sam and Brandon. That is slightly to Miranda's dismay, knowing she'll have to see Sam more than she wants.

Jess and Carmen convinced Miranda to join the group at a coffee shop to catch up on their summers. The two sisters, Carmen, and Brandon are waiting for Sam and Jess to get there.

"Hey." Jess smiles, walking over to them, holding Sam's hand.

"Hey." Bella greets. "Hey, Sam."

"Hi." Sam gives a small wave, sitting between his girlfriend and roommate.

"Does he have to be here?" Miranda whines.

"I could say the same thing." Sam remarks.

"He won't spill any coffee on you, I promise." Jess chuckles.

"He better not." Miranda mumbles.

"God, it was one time." Sam huffs, rolling his eyes.

"One time too many." She states, Sam rolling his eyes again.

"Okay, well, don't puke on me. That happened one too many times as well." Sam remarks, giving her an annoying smile.

"Okay. Play nice, guys." Jess tells them. "You can be civil."

"Yeah, right." Miranda scoffs.

"Her?" Sam questions.

"Okay." Carmen interjects. "So, what'd you two do this summer?" She glances between the sisters.

"I worked as a lifeguard at the beach." Bella informs. "Had a nice little fling with another lifeguard."

"Ooh." Carmen grins.

"That-- that's a girl night conversation." Brandon says.

"Agreed." Sam nods.

"All right, all right." Bella chuckles.

"M?" Carmen looks at her friend.

"Just hung out with Lucy... and Brandon when he visited." Miranda says. "Worked at the movie theater so saw all the new movies."

After going over everybody's summers and talking about whatever comes to mind and spending a few hours there, they all get ready to leave.

Miranda gets up to throw her trash away, but collides into a body.

"Shit!" Sam hisses as his coffee goes all over Miranda's chest.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" She glares up at him.

"Uh..." Jess nervously chuckles. "We should go before she kills you." She pulls on her boyfriend's arm. "Sorry, M. He's sorry."

"I-- wait, what? I could totally take her in a fight." Sam says as Jess drags him out.

"That's not the point." Jess says, pulling him outside.

"I'm gonna kill him." Miranda declares.

"No need for murder, hon. Just-- just slap him next time you see him." Bella says, trying to help her sister clean up.

Miranda sits in class, tapping her pen against her notebook while she waits for it to start. She glances over when somebody sits next to her.

"You're fucking joking." She scoffs.

"I don't like it either." Sam says. "There's no other seat."

"I swear to God if this is freshman year all over again, I'm going to kill myself." Miranda says.

"Trust me, if there's a different seat tomorrow, I'm taking it." Sam says.
