The group are at Brandon and Sam's dorm, Sam and Jess out to get food.
"These are, like... clean sheets, right?" Bella asks, glancing between the two beds.
"Sure." Brandon nods, Miranda quietly laughing.
"I'll take a chair." Carmen says.
"Yeah." Bella agrees.
"We're all in college. You think anybody is safe?" Brandon laughs.
"I'm not sitting where my little sister had sex, okay?" Bella says.
"We're back." Jess walks in, carrying the bags of food and Sam is holding a carton of drinks. "Come get what's yours."
Sam hands out the drinks.
"Uh, root beer." Sam says.
"Me." Miranda reaches out for it.
"Ah." Sam holds the drink up above his head. "You still owe me an apology for throwing up on me... again."
"Oh, come on, man." Miranda whines. "That was, like, three weeks ago."
"So it's long overdue. No root beer until I get an apology." Sam says.
"Sammy, I will kill you." Miranda warns, jumping for her drink.
"No." Sam says, laughing.
"Samuel Winchester, I swear to God--"
"Nope."
Miranda glares at him, eyes narrowing at the smug smirk on his face. Miranda knees him in the crotch, Sam crying out and doubling over. The group lets out exclamations and wince.
"Thank you." Miranda takes her drink from him.

Jess and Sam are alone in his and Brandon's dorm and making out. Jess pulls away after a bit when she feels Sam's hands sneak up her shirt.
"Mm. Wha-- what's going on? What's wrong?" Sam asks.
"I, uh..." Jess deeply sighs.
"What?" Sam asks, giving her a concerned look.
"We should talk." Jess says, climbing off of his lap and sitting next to him.
"Okay." Sam says, sitting up. "About what?"
"Us. And Miranda." Jess says.
"Miranda? Wha-- why do we need to talk about Miranda?" Sam asks.
"Because... ever since... I don't know, ever since, like, February, that party you two and Carmen went to that I didn't. It... it's just been different." Jess says.
"What's been different?" Sam asks.
"You." Jess says. "You... you look at her different. Maybe not so much at first, but it's been kind of more obvious lately."
"I look at her like she's the most annoying person on earth... because she is." Sam says, letting out a small laugh.
"No." Jess argues. "No, you-- you look at her different. You look at her like how you looked at me when we first met."
"Wha-- that's not-- no." Sam denies.
"Sam, it's okay." Jess says. "I'm not mad. You can't control your feelings, I get it."
"But--"
"Just accept it, Sam. You can act like you hate her all you want, but you also really like her." Jess says. "It's okay." She smiles, ignoring how her eyes sting. "It was fun while we lasted."
"Jess..."
"It's for the best." She kisses his cheek. She grabs her purse and leaves.

Sam flinches when there's a pounding on his dorm door. The person continues to bang on the wood until Sam answers it.
"What?" He questions. "Miranda?"
"What the fuck did you do to Jessica?" Miranda asks, storming in.
"Wha-- nothing." Sam says.
"You did something. She's at our dorm and crying." Miranda says.
"I didn't do anything. She broke up with me." Sam says.
"Then why is she crying into a pint of ice cream, Samuel?!"
"Because break ups suck! That's why!"
"Well, why'd she dump you?"
"I don't-- I don't know." Sam shrugs. "She... she said it's not working out anymore. I-- you know, I'm not really comfortable talking to you about this. Just talk to your roommate."
"If you hurt her, I am going to fucking murder you." Miranda sneers.
"She dumped me." Sam says.

"Hey." Jess walks over to the table at the coffee shop Miranda is sitting at. "What are you still doing here?"
"I don't have a ride. Bella left on a trip with some of her friends, Brandon flew home a couple days ago, and nobody else I know lives in San Diego." Miranda says.
The bell above the door rings, the two looking over and seeing Sam walk in. He freezes when he spots them.
"H-hi." He awkwardly waves.
"Sam can drive you." Jess says.
"What?" The two ask.
"Dr-drive? Drive where? Who? Her?" Sam asks.
"You can drive M back to San Diego." Jess says.
"No way." Sam argues.
"Yes way." Jess nods. "She needs a ride home and I know you're free."
"Why can't you drive her?" Sam asks.
"Yeah." Miranda agrees.
"Because my parents are expecting me by tomorrow. You two have fun, though." Jess says, leaving.
"I--" Miranda huffs.
Sam sighs, looking at Miranda.
"You really need a ride that badly?" Sam asks.
"You're joking, right?" Miranda scoffs. Sam shrugs. "This isn't some ploy to kill me or something?"
"No." Sam rolls his eyes. "Though it would be good timing." He remarks. "Though not really cause if people knew I was alone with you, I'd be the first suspect." Miranda's eyes widen.
"You're a freak." She tells him.
"I'm not gonna kill you." Sam chuckles. "I might tape your mouth shut if you never shut up, but... murder is off the table."
"You're really willing to do this?" Miranda asks.
"Reluctantly, but... whatever. Sure. Yeah." Sam says.
"Fine." Miranda says.
