"I see another boy walk up to me he looks older...more mature he was a dark-skinned boy with short-cropped hair and face clean-shaven."

"you two goofs can let go now im not gonna run" i say rolling my eyes.

the boys let me go hesitantly

I pull up the sleeves on my shirt as the heat starts to rise in seconds.

"yea but we cant be to sure green bean,i heard you tried running..and kicked gally in his ... yk."he says

i tilt my head at the odd nickname but shrugged it off

"well i had to protect myself i didnt know what he was gonna do"i say crossing my arms against my chest "you must be alby"

"yes i am. come i wanna show you around " alby says
he starts walking and i follow behind him .

i see all they boys working doing different things .
"we eat here,we sleep here,we grow our own food and build our own shelter"he says pointing at everything.

"whatever we need the box provides the rest is up to us"he says

"The box?..that i came up in?" i questioned him looking over at the pile of building equipment and barrels and boxes.

"yea they send them up once a month with fresh supply and a new greenie"he replies
"this month thats you congratulations"

"who put us here?how come i can't remember anything?why am i the only girl?"i ramble on

"i have no idea we were all put here i was the first"he shrugged

"and here i thought i was gonna get all my questions answered "

newt walks up to us and shakes alby's hand

"green bean this is newt when im not around he's in charge"he says shaking his hand back

"yea we've met"i say giving a friendly smile at newt

"i dont know what the fuck type place this is but i need to get out"
"when im not around he's in charge"alby says giving newt a warm smile
" good thing you're always around then"
newt says returning the smile

"newt do me a favor and go find chuck for me please"

newt nods and walks off

"Sorry to rush this but we have a alot of stuff to do"he says walking me to this tall wood tower.

"hope you're not afraid of heights"he climbs up and i follow him cautiously

"We only have three rules: First... do your part. No time for any freeloaders. Second, never harm another Glader. None of this works unless we have trust. Most importantly... never go beyond those walls. Do you understand me, Greenie?"

"yea sure"i nod in agreement just wanting to leave already.

just then a more higher voice spoke

"Hey alby!"
me and alby look down to see a boy
but he was younger looking to be 12 or 13 he has curly brown short hair and brown eyes and was a chubby kid.
"hey chuck! where've you been man"alby says smiling
we climb down to greet chuck
chuck looks at me amazed
"woah you're actually a girl!"he exclaims

"last time i checked yea im a girl" i say jokingly causing chuck to smile

"im chuck!"he says tryna shake my hand under all the stuff he's carrying i grab some stuff from him and shake his hand
"nice to meet you"i smile
"chuck reminds me of a little brother type he was younger,curious,and sweet."
as he sets up my hammock i made a confused face
"wait wait wait im supposed to sleep out here with these horny sweaty teenage boys!?"i questioned
"well this is where we all sleep"chuck says
i put my hand on my forehead like a damsel in distress
"ill die!"i say dramatically
"dont worry you're sleeping next to me ill protect you!"he says reassuring me

"thanks chuck" i smile

"hey how do you deal with this heat"i say fanning myself dramatically

"well its best not to think about it"he replies

"yea well its all i can think about"i say before removing the flannel im wearing.underneath im wearing a gray tank top that hugged me in all the right places which obviously caught all the boy's attention except one,gally's.

whistles are heard from near by.

"yea yea all right fuck off"i say flipping them off

chuck giggles
i smile
