"Lilly? Wake up! You can't sleep all day!" I hear Marissa yell from behind my door. I'm awake but I just want to lay in bed. I open the door and see her sitting on the couch. "Hey, can you get those chips I like from the gas station?" She asks. "Sure." I say.

I head out the door and drive to the gas station. I walked inside and of course, Cameron was in one of the aisles. I tried my best to avoid him but he's in the aisle I need to get to. "Excuse me." I say.

His head whips at me. It's like he knew it was me talking. He recognized my voice. "Lilly?" He says.
"Hi, I just need to get some chips." I say.

He steps out my way and I grab Marissa's food. "I've been calling you like crazy. Why haven't you been answering me?" He asks. To be honest, I've been ignoring them. I need him out my head.

"My phone has been acting crazy" I lied. "Well, whenever you're available. I'd love to just sit down and talk to you." He says. I smile at him. "What about tomorrow at the cafe?" I ask. "Of course." He says.

I pay for the chips and come back home.

NEXT DAY

While doing my hair, Marissa comes into the bathroom. "Why are you getting all dolled up?" She asks. "Do you have a date with Eli?" She continues. "No, I'm meeting up with some friends." I say.

"But I'm like your only friend." She says. I roll my eyes at her. "Seriously, what are you doing?" She asks. "I'm going to the cafe... to see Cameron." I say.

Her face drops. "What? Did you break up with Eli or something? Why are you seeing him? What's going on?" She rambles. "It's just a friendly hang out. Nothing more. Don't worry." I say.

"Now if you don't mind, I need to finish my hair." I say, trying to get her to go away. She stayed with me. After I did my hair, I went downstairs and got in my car.

I arrived at the cafe and saw Cameron sitting alone, twiddling his thumbs, shaking his leg, and looking around to see me. When I caught his eye, he immediately perked up and smiled at me.

"I saved you a seat." He says. I sit down with him and we order drinks. "So, what have you been up to?" I ask. "Well, nothing really. Some modeling gigs have come up. That's it." He says. A few seconds of awkward silence pass by.

"What about that guy you're seeing?" He asks. I sigh.
"Oh, uhm. He's a great guy. Very nice." I say. "Was I not like him? Not nice enough?" He asks, aggressively. "That's not it. We're just different." I say.

"Just because you're introverted and I'm not? Why do you feel the need to give into me one day and then leave me the next?" He yells. "Cameron, stop. You're making a scene. This is embarrassing." I whisper.

His brows furrow and stands up to leave. As he walks out the door, I can't help but follow him. He's halfway to the road and I ran to him as fast as I could.

I grab his arm and turn him around. "I didn't mean—" He interrupts me by taking my chin and making my lips meet his. I don't even try to pull away.
