I'm awake, but I don't open my eyes yet. Cameron is still holding me. "Are you up?" He whispers. I don't respond, I want to stay in his arms.
"I'm not going to move, I just want to know." He continues. "Yes. I'm up." I reply. He moves his head toward mine and kisses me, his way of saying 'hi'. "Aren't you going to be late for ballet?" He asks.
"Eh." I say, brushing it off. "Lilly. You need to go. It's the whole reason you moved here!" He says. "What's the point? I mean, you've never even seen me dance." I reply. He sits up. "Show me." He says.
"Why would I do that?" I ask. "Dance, Lilly." He demands. "Fine." I say, and then do a couple of pirouettes. "There. Is that enough?" I ask.
He sighs and puts his palms on his face. "Do you not take your own career seriously?" He mumbles. "Look, I'm sorry that I'm less interested in ballet than I used to be. I have no future with it anyways." I reply.
"I have a future with you, though." I say, going down to my knees and reaching for his hands. He scoffs and stands up. I get on my feet. "What's your problem?" I ask. "My Problem? You don't even have any interest in something you decided to base your life on." He says.
"Why can't I base my life on you? I love you!" I say. "What more can I do to prove it? I will tell you every single thing that's happened since we've been together. I'll give you complete honesty." I say. "Ok." He replies.
"What?" I ask. "Tell me everything." He insists. "You said that you would. Are you going to stick to your word to prove that you love me? Or is there something you can't say." He continues. "Fine, I'll tell you." I say.
So I did. "I'm sorry. You know I love you. I would never do anything with him again." I say. "I know. I just need to..." He trails off. "Cameron?" I ask. He walks toward me and embraces me.
My body is still. I don't even question it, I lift my hands to the back of his head and pull him closer. "Please believe me." I whisper to him. "I do. Just stay with me. Only me." He replies. "I will." I say.
