THE SAME NIGHT

I'm laying down on our bed in Cameron's apartment. Then, the door unlocks. "Lilly! I picked up that sandwich from the cafe you like!" He says. "Just put it in the fridge, I'll eat it later." I say.

He walks in the room and sits at the edge of bed, by my feet. "Are you feeling any better?" He asks. I sigh and shake my head. "Is there anything I can do?" He continues. "No. I don't know what I need." I say.

Of course I know what I need, Eli. But I want Cameron too. "I'll stay with you until you tell me to leave. No matter what." Cameron says. He goes to his side of the bed and lays down next to me.

"I love you." He whispers to me, I hesitate for a moment. His brows furrow and he sits up. "I-I love you too." I stutter. "No you don't." He says. "Stop." I reply.

"You don't love me." He insists. "If I didn't love you. would I have moved out of my apartment, away from my best friend since I was a kid, broke up with the perfect boy, jeopardize my mental health, and my whole fucking career? For you!" I yell.

"I didn't ask you to do that!" He says. "Just for once you could risk something! Because right now, you're losing me." I say. He realizes what I've said. He takes a step back and breathes. "I'm sorry." He says.

A chill goes down my spine before replying. I just walk over to him and wrap my arms around his chest in an embrace. "I promise that I love you." I say, softly.

Cameron puts his palm on my head and other arm around my waist. "I know. I'm sorry." He whispers. "If you want to fully move in, you can. I'll come with you to get some more of your stuff." He says.

"I think I need to do it alone. Just incase I run into Marissa. She'll tear you up if she sees you." I joke, but not really. He understood and let me go.

I get back to my old apartment and up to room and open the door to see...
