Cole's pov

"Daddy"

Suddenly, I opened my eyes, finding myself attached to wires and machines. Ahh!! My throat feels like a desert.

"Cole" comes my mom voice. It looks like it's night outside right now.

"Honey!! Do you need anything?" She asked. I gestured her to get me water. I try to sit up. But failed because of the pain. Fuck!! I forgot I was shot.

"Relax, Cole. I will call nurse for help."

I laid there for a few seconds when the nurse, along with Roman, came inside the room to help me.

I sat up with the help. Then mom handled me the water. I gulped down it one go.

"How are you feeling?" asked Roman.

"Better," I breathed out loudly.

Roman gestured & the nurse left after checking some vitals and machines.

"How long?" I asked.

"4 days," he replied.

"Vipers?"

"Silent for now"

There was uncomfortable silence for a few moments when suddenly my mother spoke up.

"You know I got very scared." Mom said while fixing my hair.

I hold her hand," You trained me mom nothing can happen to me."

"You need to relax, brother. We will visit you tomorrow." Roman got up from his seat while mom was helping me to adjust properly.

"Acctually I am wide awake now....and I am not going to sleep anytime soon." I said.

"I was just being polite, what I really want to say that I am frustrated and I want my newly wedded wife to....

"That's enough, Roman. We get it." I cut him in middle.

"Roman, think about that girl," Mom suddenly spoke with disguste.

"Don't worry, mom, I always think about her or the things to do with her." He chuckled & I laughed.

With that, he exited the room.

"Stop laughing, Cole. You seriously not supporting that slut to be the bride of Rodriguez's."

"Mom...there is no way we can undo the wedding. The whole world now know about the wedding." I tried to explain it to her.

"Cole promise me thing" she said

I looked at her with doubtful expression, like what promise.

"You will not marry her so called little sister."

"MOM" I nearly shouted.

"Listen to me cole, I know you find her cute and innocent. But believe me...she is mentally ill. God knows how will she react or do in future." She told me.

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

She made her way to sofa. While taking a document out of purse. She handed me the document which was already opened.

I realized that this was rose's diagnostic report and other test results. There was also a note which doctor has written.

That bloody doctor could have called me.

While reading the report my anger bolied and I throw some the papers on the floor.

"Anger won't change the reality" She sighed. Throwing her head back to sofa.
