All four of us still in bed, Baro and I between the Eaters, we had another long morning of intertwined limbs, passionate encounters, half-serious and quite serious talks, and usual gaming fun.

Ore and Baro were onto their unfinished round of the General's Game, in the System this time, and it looked like Orewen's chances were slim. The Medan's mental skills, even without his recently implanted Node fully mature yet, were quite remarkable. But per rules of their engagement, none of the players used Node support beyond basic functions needed to operate the virtual set: Orewen preferred to play with a raw mind anyway, and Baro did not have the other option yet. One game was usually played over several long sessions and it was one of the most complex games due to its vast number of variations in individual games. A large board, used for play, and lack of restrictions allowed great scope in strategy and expression of the player's uniqueness. Decisions on one part of the board may have been influenced by an apparently unrelated situation in a distant part of the board, and plays made early in the game could shape the nature of conflict a thousand moves later.

It wasn't that Orewen was a weak player—like all offspring of the Fossil's household, he'd played it since childhood. He'd been known to beat serious players like my parents, his own dad, and even his sister, and now he'd been holding out against his current opponent for almost two weeks. Their game started right after our ship left Kan Diona, only a mere five weeks after the Medan received his Node implant. It was Baro who had mathematical interest in the game and turned out to be such a powerful player.

Eyu and I, left to ourselves, observed their match.

Eyuran became quiet all of sudden. I turned to him, and seeing him grinning, asked, "What are you so happy about?"

"It took a long while to have everything and everyone in place. Just feels good."

My hand brushed across his chest. "Yeah. We now have many important things to keep."

He held me closer, his mouth at my ear. "Certainly, love."

At this moment Baro rolled onto me with a deep grunting laugh, and kissed me on the breast, followed by roaring Orewen, who had finally lost the game and was taking his revenge on everything that got caught in his arms. Baro and I were saved by Eyuran's massive frame, who somehow also ended up in the squished body pile.

"Ugh! Roll back to your assigned bedside," my first spouse commanded, laughing and shielding us smaller people from his massive dad. "You are trespassing!"

"Hand me over that sneaky pale ass here and I'll retreat!"

"Accept your defeat already!" His son was non-compliant.

Orewen reflected on that suggestion for a moment, flipped in bed and with a growl bit Baro in the buttock, causing the guy to squirm and us to guffaw.

"I can't believe he bit me!" Baro groaned in complaint, also shaking from guttural bursts of laughter. Clearly the man wasn't harmed. Yet Orewen's playfully aggressive behavior made him slightly aroused: I felt his erection building up, rubbing against my skin, adding to his excitement.

"Oh, he does that," I confirmed from my own experience, catching my breath between laughs and still squeezed at the bottom of the male body pile. "Though his reasons may vary."

"That should be the least of your worries," Eyuran told my third spouse. "He'll be watching, waiting... and while you are distracted with this guy, Falaha will eat your dinner."

"And I will eat our Falaha!" my second spouse roared, pulling himself on one arm, and bringing his face above mine. Then lowered himself and kissed me, bringing out another smile in me.
