Silence... Pin drop silence in the house was like a silence before storm. Manik had just reached home and Nandini had given him the biggest shock that his father-in-law and sister-in-law are visiting today.

"Seriously? You are telling me they are visiting us? What am I gonna say to them?" He asked sighing making her bite her lower lip.

"The truth." She whispered making him glare at her.

"Really Nandini? You are saying truth? We should tell them the truth now? Where was your mind when I had told you that we should inform your family about us shifting to Nagpur?" 

"Par uss samay maine mana kiya because I didn't want them to get tensed up." She replied looking down making him sigh.

"I'm warning you Nandini, agar tumhare papa ne mujhe blame kiya than get ready to see my wrath." She shivered at his tone. She knew it was her mistake of stopping him all the time whenever he tried to tell her family about this situation.

She knew today for the first time have to face her husband anger and wrath. Her head became cold just by thinking about the consequences but she already knew she had dug her own grave by hiding from her family and stopping Manik.

Manik had gone to his room so that he can change and go down to pick up Nandini's father and her sister. As Manik came out the whistle of the cooker blew in the silence making Nandini shiver.

He knew it will take them 2-3 minutes to reach so he moved out. Here Nandini put off the gas and kept an utensil to give the dal tadka.

Downstairs Manik saw a taxi near the gate. He moved further seeing Nandini's father and Navya moving out of it. He immediately smiled at them and paying the taxi Manik tried taking their luggage but didn't allow him.

"Beta, tumhe kya hua hai? Aise kyun chal rahe ho?" Nandini's father asked worriedly making him smile at his worry.

"Kuch nahi papa, woh bas met with a small accident it's fine. Aapko dikkat toh nahi huyi na aane mein?"

"Dikkat? Yahan aane se jo mujhe news mili hai na usse bahut dard hau mujhe. Tumhe mujhe zara bhi bhanak lagne nahi..." Before he could complete Navya held his hand stopping him from saying anything further.

Manik looked down and walked them inside the house. Nandini smiled looking at them and brought water for them.

"Kaise ho aap?" Nandini asked to remove the awkwardness that had formed.

Her father looked at her in disbelief making her look down.

"Tumse mujhe yeh umeed nahi thi Nandu aur na hi Manik. Paraya samjh rakha hai kya hume? Jab bhi call kiya humne aise baat karti thi ki sab theek hai. Lekin aaj uske sasural mein jaa ke dekhta hun ki meri beti vaha rehti hi nahi. Kya yeh sanskar diye hai humne tumhe Nandini?" His voice held anger, disappointment and hurt. She looked down holding back her tears.

"Papa, hum kal baat kare? Abhi khane ka bhi time ho gaya hai aap..." Nandini was cut down by her fathers sigh. Manik sighed and told him to get freshen up.
