ALEXANDRIA was rudely awoken by the sound of her alarm. it was the first day of school, so alexandria set an earlier alarm than usual, but she was regretting it now. she never understood why she tried so hard to look good at school but it was a force of habit at this point, almost like a tradition.
might as well continue the tradition, she supposed.
it was the final year of high school, and alexandria felt kind of bittersweet. when she first started high school she despised it and couldn't wait to leave. now though, she was used to high school and she couldn't imagine leaving and never coming back. she was just grateful she had friends that she knew she would always be around which would be the constant in her life.
speaking of friends, alexandria felt a message vibrate from her phone.

it was one of alexandria's best friends, madi. they made friends in middle school, and madi was the only one to go to the same high school as alex. although she was a year younger than her, madi had been allowed to skip a grade so alex was really grateful for her best friend's intelligence otherwise she would have gone to high school alone for a year.

alexandria sat at her vanity, pulling her hair out of the rollers they were in. as she pulled each section, she wondered about what to wear for the first day. she knew there were cheerleading tryouts today so she would need to pack her cheer outfit, but she needed to pick her outfit for the rest of the day too.
the rollers were finally all out, and alexandria opened the drawer of her vanity and found her hairbrush.
she was actually quite excited to start senior year. as cheer captain it was her job to find someone to replace her, and also train any new recruits. plus she would get to see her friends and the triplets way more often.
madi introduced alexandria to the triplets and she quickly became good friends with them.
well, two thirds of them.
one of these triplet brothers was quite possibly her least favourite person on this planet. she found him obnoxious, arrogant, and extremely difficult to be around.
