ALEXANDRIA WAS always happy when this time of year rolled around. she had been the captain now for two years, as her coach and everyone else on the squad agreed that she was perfect for the role. but even before she became captain, she loved how happy everyone was when they found out they'd made the team.
yes, the girls who didn't make it were upset, but alexandria usually put them onto the JV squad and always let them know they were just as important as the varsity squad.lexi stuck up the sheet of successful students outside of the gymnasium, and made her way to fourth period.
her good mood wouldn't last, which was because she was headed to english class. she prayed that chris would leave her alone but she knew it was probably in vain.of course, she arrived before he did, so she had a couple minutes without him irritating her.
however it was much less than a couple of minutes, because as if right on cue, chris entered the room with a girl behind him as usual.
typical.
she knew the girl's name was emily, and she was 95% sure they had a thing a while back until chris moved onto the next girl.lexi almost felt bad for her, but then again she wouldn't be stupid enough to like a guy like chris.
chris walked over to their desk, shoving his backpack underneath the table and sitting down, immediately getting comfortable.
obviously that caused alexandria to feel uncomfortable."could you keep your arms and legs to yourself?" lexi huffed.
chris just stared at her while he extended both his arms and legs in an attempt to further annoy her.
"oh, sorry didn't see you there. i mistook you for a shrimp." he smirked, making fun of her height.
"is that what all the girls say to you?" lexi responded quickly since this was not the first time someone commented on the fact she was quite short.
"wouldn't you like to know." he retorted, rolling his eyes.
"no, not really. not at all." lexi organised her books as mrs evans finally walked into the room.
she took a final glance towards chris before she would ignore him for the rest of this period, and all she could see on his face was a scowl, as if he were offended by what she said.
lexi-1
chris-0the english lesson went by as slow as ever, because mrs evans asked everyone to annotate some poetry in their pairs.
chris seemed to be no help with this, opting to ignore her for the entire lesson and work on the poem himself.
lexi was thankful in a way, so she wouldn't have to deal with chris giving whatever third grade annotations his tiny brain could come up with.
