To love is to risk everything,
To lay your heart out on the line.
It's a gamble that can bring
The sweetest joy or deepest decline.
For love can lift you up so high,
And make your world a brighter place.
But when it falls, it makes you cry,
And leaves you with an empty space.
The dangers of love are many,
And the price can be so steep.
For every time you give your heart,
You risk the pain of loss so deep.
But still we fall, again and again,
For the promise of love's sweet embrace.
We take the chance, we play to win,
And hope that this time, it's not misplaced.
So here's to love, and all its risks,
And the heartbreak that it can bring.
For though it may be hard to bear,
It's worth the chance to feel the sting.
