I'm tired.

Akutagawa sighed and threw his stuff on the floor, resting himself on his bed. Atsushi, who just came out the bathroom, stared at Akutagawa. "Tired?" He asked, and Akutagawa simply nods in reply. Atsushi sat on his bed, still staring at Akutagawa.

"You must feel happy." Atsushi said, and Akutagawa looked at him. "Huh? What do you mean?" He asked. Atsushi stayed silent before saying, "Dazai trusts you with something."

Akutagawa stared at Atsushi, whose lips pressed together, bringing his knees to his chest. "Not trying to be offensive. But, you know, Dazai trusts you something. I'm guessing that feels good."

Akutagawa just didn't reply.

Sleeping felt like a crime last night in Akutagawa's eyes. He felt like so much stuff happened it was illegal to sleep.

Akutagawa woke up with the loud sound of the police siren coming out the window. He rubs his eyes. "What is...?" He cuts himself out when he got up. "Is the police outside?" He muttered to himself, looking to his right to see what Atsushi was doing. He was asleep.

How did he not wake up by the loud ass siren?

"Jinko." Akutagawa called out, not getting a response in return. Ugh. He got up and shook Atsushi a little. "Wake u..." he saw the blood stain on Atsushi's bedsheets. "Jin...ko?"

Shit.

Akutagawa fully flipped Atsushi, the handle of the knife pointing straight to the ceiling. Fuck. He started panicking and ran out the room, opening the door wide open. He looked to the room to his right, which belonged to Dazai and Chuuya, and knocked several times.

The door opened and Chuuya was there, annoyed from the amount of knocking. He looked at Akutagawa and his expression changed to a confused one. "Akutagawa? What's wrong?" He asked.

"Atsushi..." Akutagawa breathed heavily, and Chuuya looks at him confused and surprised. "Atsushi? What about him?"

Akutagawa points at his room and follows Chuuya in, showing him Atsushi on his bed with a knife stabbed across his chest, the blood spilling out the wound.

"Four people were killed last night." Kunikida looked up at Dazai and Chuuya, five hours after the murders. "A woman, a man, a little girl; probably the man's daughter, and... Atsushi." He summarised, sighing at the mention of Atsushi's name. "In addition, two people have gotten injuries, which include Tachihara and Kajii." he continued, "They both got stabbed in the arm."

Dazai stared at the floor and both Kunikida and Chuuya look at him. "What?" Dazai asked, not looking up. "What are you thinking?" Chuuya asked, crossing his arms and legs. Dazai stayed silent for a little bit. "Nothing." He said, straightening his back, and looks at Chuuya. "Chuuya, do you know where Akutagawa is?"

"Visiting Atsushi at the hospital." Chuuya replied, and Kunikida looks at him. "Don't they hate each other?" He asks, confused. Chuuya shrugs. "I guess they get along from time to time, since Dazai pairs them up all the time." He looks at Dazai and grinned, remembering what he saw the last time Akutagawa and Atsushi 'got along'.

"They just get along too well at those times though, so Akutagawa must feel attached." Dazai said, as if he read Chuuya's mind. Kunikida sighed. "Atsushi better not get attached. Akutagawa is our sworn enemy. Same with you, Chuuya, this novel is only just an exception."

Dazai and Chuuya glanced at each other and Chuuya shrugged. "Whatever you say, Doppo." Dazai got up. "Anyway, I'm going to go check on Atsushi and see what Akutagawa is doing." He told Chuuya and Kunikida, and the both of them nod, as Dazai left to head to the hospital.

Akutagawa stared at Atsushi's unconscious body, resting on the hospital bed. The sheet he was on was slightly bloody, which bothered Akutagawa a bit.

Why Akutagawa decided to visit Atsushi in the hospital was a mystery even Akutagawa himself questioned. He just thought it was wrong not to, other than that he didn't really know why.

The door opened and Akutagawa looked to his right, seeing Dazai come in. He looked at Atsushi and then Akutagawa. "Hello, Akutagawa."

"Hello."

Dazai sat beside him. "Why'd you visit Atsushi?" He asked, after a minute of silence. Akutagawa looked at him and then quickly looks at the floor. "I don't know." He replied. Dazai looked at him. "I mean at least you did visit him, I'd be pretty cruel if you don't."

Akutagawa nods. "Yeah."

Atsushi moved a little bit and Akutagawa and Dazai both looked at him, waiting for him to wake up or to move a little more. "Is he awake?..." Akutagawa muttered. Atsushi's eyes opened and he got up looking around the room, breathing heavily and widened eyes. "Atsushi!" Dazai got up from his seat and went up to him, grabbing his shoulder.  He noticed how Atsushi was breathing so heavily.

"Are...are you ok?"
