Trapped In A Novel [Bungo Stray Dogs Fanfiction: Shin Soukoku]

Atsushi had still locked himself in the bathroom. He hasn't come out since the argument and Akutagawa guessed he wasn't coming out anytime soon. And Akutagawa hated being guilty, and he felt like he had to do something.

"Hey, Jinko." Akutagawa knocks on the bathroom door, holding a bowl of tea on rice and a spoon. No response. He sighed and out the bowl down on the floor and put the spoon inside it. "I made you tea on rice. You can eat it if you want." Akutagawa backed off a bit. "I'll be leaving as well, come out if you'd like."

He left the room and let Atsushi be alone.

As soon as he got out, Dazai came up to him, staring at him. "Hey, Akutagawa." He called out. "Uh, yeah?" Akutagawa asked.

"What were you and Atsushi talking, or 'shouting' about last night?" Dazai asked. "I could hear you guys shouting at each other since your room is literally next to mine."

Akutagawa looked away from Dazai. "Um, we had an argument." He replied. "About what?" Dazai asked again, and Akutagawa became unresponsive.

Dazai sighed. "Ok, whatever. Where is he now?"

"He had locked himself in the bathroom."

Akutagawa took the chance to look at Dazai, and he felt as if he was going to get slapped. "Alright then. Just check up on him later." Dazai told him, and Akutagawa nods.

Dazai went in his room again and Akutagawa stayed where he was. I hate this. He walked downstairs, having no clue on what to do. He couldn't possibly go back to his room because Atsushi would clearly hate that.

I guess I could go to a place where I can eat because I haven't eaten anything since I was busy making Jinko food. I could go to Gin after. I genuinely hope Higuchi isn't with her or something because that's just awkward seeing them together.

Higuchi woke up, yawning and stretching her arms. She never woke up usually this late, but she wasn't stressed with work, so she let herself be lazy until this novel ends. She lifted her body up from the bed. "You there Gin?" Higuchi asks, rubbing her eyes.

There was no reply or answer from Gin.

Higuchi looked to her right to see if Gin was still sleeping, but she wasn't even in bed. Huh? She heard slight groaning in the bathroom. Is she in the bathroom? Higuchi got out of her bed, throwing the duvet off her, and going to the bathroom.

She opens the door and saw Gin sitting down on the floor, her back on the wall and holding her stomach, which was covered in blood. A knife was next to her, the blade drenched in blood.

"Gin!" Higuchi exclaimed, quickly running up to her and grabbing her neck. "What happened with you? Did the murderer injure you? How long have you been like this?" Gin only coughed in response.

Higuchi started to panic and looked around before looking at the bunch of tissues holding back Gin's blood.

"I-I'll get some help! W-would you able to hold the blood for a little bit?" Higuchi asks Gin, getting for tissues for Gin. She slowly nods and Higuchi smiled slightly before running off.

Akutagawa came back from eating and opened the hotel entrance door, coming in. He was about to go back to his room before he heard running behind him. "Akutagawa!"

He turned around and saw Higuchi running after him, looking worried. "Akutagawa." She repeated, and Akutagawa looks at her confused. "What's wrong?" He asked, looking at the way she came from. "I-it's...it's Gin...she-"

"COME ON."

Akutagawa grabs Higuchi's wrist, dragging her to their room walking as quickly as they can.

Slowly removing the tissues from Gin's stomach, Akutagawa stared at her blood stained white shirt. "Fuck." He hissed, taking off Gin's jacket so she can breathe easier. He looked at the knife next to her. "Higuchi, get me a plastic zip bag." Akutagawa instructed, getting more tissues to pick up the knife.

Higuchi nods and runs out the bathroom, as Akutagawa groans. "I will kill whoever did this." He muttered, looking at Gin. "Gin, did you see who it was? The murderer?" Akutagawa asked.

Gin shook her head. "I-I..."

Akutagawa patiently looked at her. "I-I was asleep when I got stabbed... th-then I woke up and realised... I didn't w-want to trouble Higuchi so I just went to the bathroom to try and block out the blood..."

Gin sighed and rested her head on the cold bathroom wall, and Akutagawa nods. "Alright, you're doing a great job, don't talk."

Higuchi arrived back with a plastic zip bag and opened it, and Akutagawa put the knife in there, throwing the tissue away. "Put that somewhere and report this. We need her to go to the hospital as soon as possible." Higuchi immediately went.

"Gin, I promise you you'll be ok, alright? You'll be ok." Akutagawa gave Gin a small hug. "And I'll get this murderer arrested."

It's just a novel but it's best for her to be alive in this novel. And for the murderer to only be arrested.

Soon enough, Higuchi reported this, gave the plastic bag and Gin got sent to the hospital.
