Trapped In A Novel [Bungo Stray Dogs Fanfiction: Shin Soukoku]

Akutagawa sat silently on his bed, staring at the blank, white wall. The novel is already proceeding quickly, a murder occurring on the first 10 minutes of even being here. Akutagawa didn't know what to expect, but he didn't think it was going to be that quick. He knew the murderer wasn't joking around at all.

He thought back to Dazai. "Get along with Atsushi and report anything suspicious." How am I supposed to do that? I can't get along with him. It's practically impossible. He groaned and got up, going out the room and going downstairs. I might as well go downstairs.

As he went downstairs, he pushed through the crowd of people talking about the incident and tried to find someone he knew. Which was Chuuya. He quickly went up to him and taps his shoulder. Chuuya turns around, arms folded, and looked at Akutagawa. "Oh, hi, need something?"

"Nothing. Just bored." Akutagawa replied. "Oh, and by the way, is anything happening at the moment? Apart from the murder." He added. Chuuya bit his lower lip. "You know the weird incest girl in the Armed Detective Agency?" He asked, disgust in his voice.

"...yeah." Akutagawa coughed. "What about her?"

"Basically, her ginger brother-"

"You're a ginger as well you know."

"Shut up, anyway, her brother she does incest with, people think he's the murderer." Chuuya explained, tapping his chin. "Isn't it too early for assumptions?" Akutagawa asked. Chuuya nods. "It is."

"Then why are people assuming?"

Chuuya sighed. "The victim was choked with a rope. No one owned a rope, but Tanizaki had a rope in his room when we entered the novel. Incest girl then said it was gone." He folds his arms. "But we don't know if it's true or not, so I'm not assuming."

Akutagawa stared at the ground. "If it was him, we would have found out way later. Don't you think? It can't be him, he must have been framed." He said. "You got a point." Chuuya agreed.

Chuuya got his cellphone out and made a face. "Shitty Dazai..." Akutagawa looked at Chuuya, confused. "Gotta go. It was nice talking to you." Chuuya told Akutagawa, smiling a little. "Dazai needs me." He said, annoyed.

"Alright. Bye." Akutagawa waves at him as Chuuya goes upstairs. So... the ginger is being framed?... He sighed and turns around, seeing Atsushi behind him. "Oh, hi. Um, I was just trying to-"

"What do you want?" Akutagawa asked, staring at Atsushi. "Uh, I just wanted to know if you've heard about how Junichiro's framed." He explained. "Yeah, Chuuya told me." Akutagawa answered.

Getting along with Atsushi is going to be so fucking hard.

Atsushi nods. "It's quite cruel though. I don't know why people are suspecting that it's him." He said, itching his elbow. Akutagawa nods along. This is so painfully awkward. And we're talking about someone getting framed of murder too. Ugh.

"I'm going to our room, you coming?" Atsushi walks up to the stairs and, looking back at Akutagawa, who shook his head. "I'll come later. I need to check on my sister." He said. "Oh, alright." Atsushi goes up and the stairs and Akutagawa goes to find Gin.

She's probably with Higuchi. Akutagawa scoffs.

This isn't even real life, yet it's pissing me the fuck off. Junichiro groans, resting his head on the wall. I'm getting framed for murder. They think it's me. Great. Soon enough I'll probably get arrested. Naomi came in the room and closed the door behind her. She looks at her brother and smiles. "Hey-"

"Not now, Naomi." Naomi is kind of proving their point. At the moment, no one's on my side. "Uh, ok." Naomi walks away from Junichiro, giving him a look.

Why would the murderer already start killing people? We just came here an hour ago. Junichiro thought, zoning out. And why frame me out of everyone else that was upstairs? I wasn't even close even to see the murderer, so I don't know who they are. It's either I'm overthinking or there's a reason I'm framed.

Naomi was just eating some ramen by the table whilst staring at Junichiro. He seems like he's in a bad mood, I should just leave him alone. She put her chopsticks down on her bowl when she finished and went to the kitchen.
