Another goodbye... to my human self

1 year later

Abby POV

Finally, one more year has come to an end.

At breakfast, an unexpected owl came rushing towards Liv at the Gryffindor table. I saw her talking with Rose excitedly, so I quickly got up to see what it was all about. They just shoved the letter under my nose and begged me to read it.

As I read the letter, my heart skipped a beat.

"To my dearest daughters, Olivia and Abby.

I have some really exciting news that will close up your awesome year with a golden key: Dan just proposed to Julie last night!!

The happiness is so uncontainable, We're all so excited. We are throwing a party next Wednesday so you girls can celebrate with us.

Amy is also missing you so much, and she's sending you girls her best.

Can't wait to see you tomorrow!

I jumped and squealed and hugged Olivia. "Oh my god! I'm so happy for them!!!"

The news spread very fast, and everyone congratulated us wherever we walked by. When we were at the train, Ed went to sit with his friends while I was with Lou in our usual compartment. He was smiling the whole ride.

"I'm really happy for Julie! Wow!! I can't wait to see Victoire's reaction, she must be over the moon!"

"Yeah", I smiled, and since I felt tired, I lay on the seat and rested my head on his lap. He brushed my hair away from my face and I fell asleep, until we got to King's Cross.

"Aaa-bby..." I heard Louis's voice tingle my ear, "wake up snoozy puppy, we're here."

As we said goodbye, I promised Lou I'll write every week, and I asked him to come to the party with his family, and he promised me he'll come.

"Meet you on Wednesday then", I kissed his cheek, and he chuckled.

Then I went to say goodbye to Ed, which was busy talking to his older brother, Alec.

"Oh, Abby! I was just talking about you", he said smiling to me, and kissed me. "Remember Alec, my brother? He was 3 years above us."

"Yeah! Of course, I do!", I told him, smiling. "How've you been, Alec? Wow, you've changed a lot!"

"Thanks," he answered, "So, you guys are a thing now, Ed told me. That's awesome!"

"Yeah", I smiled at Ed and took his hand. But to my surprise, he only looked down, smiling briefly and took it away seconds later.

It's so good to be home. Our house wasn't huge, but I loved the minimalist wooden furniture decorating it. And our big, white sofa.

"Where's the future bride?!" I called as we got home, since Mum informed us that Julie and Dan were at home at the moment to greet us.

Dan and Julie came running towards us with the widest grins on their faces.

"Oh, my little sisters!! I missed you so much!!!", Julie cried as all 4 of us made a sisterly hug. As I pulled away from them, I turned to Dan and hugged him really tight.

He was like an older brother to me, I basically grew up with him. I missed him a lot.

"If it isn't my favourite future sister-in-law!" he said and I laughed, "Give me five," he smiled at me, and we did our signature high-five. "How was this year?", he asked after hugging Olivia. "Did you already get someone?", Ju asked, grinning.
