"No matter how much you're to annoy me, you're still not going to that festival." Louis groans when his little sister kept poking his face and repeating "Pretty please!"

"You are being unreasonable! No one will see us, I'll use one of those invisible charms." Eloise dramatically falls over him, taking his attention away from the books. "It's too risky to have a dragon in the open like that. You can go without Fahran if you're so desperate to see some fireworks." Louis says before sitting up and drinking his herb tea.

"You know I can't do that! I can't leave him alone." She huffs and goes up the stairs before yelling, "Fine! I'll sit in my room like I've been doing for the past years!"

Infuriating by her brother's choice to not let Fahran come with her, she slams the door, making sure Louis heard it and fell face down on her bed. Fahran looking at his mother confused, not long until Fahran's much bigger body took seat on her back. She giggles at her dragon's clinginess, "How could I leave you alone? You're so small and fragile, I have to protect you!" the girl says before bringing him in a tight embrace.

She could barely embrace him anymore. His body not quite fitting around her arms anymore but not once did it or will ever stop her from bringing him into a hug.

Eloise stays mad at Louis for the entire afternoon. Louis yells for Eloise to come and eat dinner and when he hears not even a sound back from his sister, he realized he had enough of her attitude and gets up and goes to her room.

"Eloise." Louis drags her name, opening her door seeing her facing the wall, ignoring his presence. "Understand where I'm coming from, please. See what happened to Griffin when-"

Eloise sits up and throws a pillow at him, "Don't mention his name!" she screams at him with no remorse. "I need to protect you-"

"You're keeping me locked here."

He sighs loudly, "If that is what it takes to keep you safe then... yeah."

She meets his eyes after hours of avoiding them, the little witch chuckles dryly before saying the most gut-wrenching sentence Louis ever heard.

"You know what's funny? I heard those exact words from mother before locking me in the chamber for misbehaving." She says, not understanding the damage she was doing to her brother. "I thought I was finally escaping her prison because of you, but you just made a small window."

A tear falls down on his cheek, he felt something in his throat that made him speechless. He tries to reach his sister but Fahran's high-pitched scream makes him fall back. Though, Fahran still believed he was too close to his rider, so he breathed out fire, burning the top of his right hand. "Fahran, stop!" Eloise demands but Fahran didn't stop.

He caused pain to his rider, he needs to pay.

The dragon wants to breathe fire again but Eloise steps infront of her brother. Fahran closes his mouth and goes back to his spot on her bed.

"Louis I-" She started but he just gave her a small smile and pat on the shoulder before leaving her bedroom.

Paolo took a break from the bar when he heard the screams from upstairs over the loud noise. "Happened to you, what? " He asked when he saw Louis's injured hand, "I tried to talk with her but Fahran burned me." He said, wincing when Paolo touched his wound, "I'll heal this with some herbs but I have no idea what to do-"

"Take care of this, I will." He said before walking towards her room. "Eloise? To the bar down, come and help me, you will." He said in a stern voice.

Eloise groans but obeys his words, leaving her room and stepping downstairs where the bar is full of people. "What do you want? Are you also going to scold me? I didn't mean I can't control Fahran." She defended herself but he dismissed her and waved for her to come behind the counter, where the drinks were made.
