"Look! I taught Milk and Bunny how to sit!" Kalen says, the excitement in his voice palpable.

Valentine grined, watching the to pups as they play fought. Valentine had let kelan teach the dogs a few commands, and he was loving it.

"Let's see it then." Valentine says, get getting back from work at 4:00.

"Here boys!" Kalen calls, and the two newfies come rushing over, tails wagging.

"Sit." Kalan says, and the pups fall to the hunches. Kelan smiled proudly, before heading out two treats.

"Release." Kalan said, and the pups got up before making there way of somewhere.

"I'm impressed, good job." Valentine praised and Kelan gave him a giant grin. The kid, spit fire he was, like praised, probably because nobody told him when he was human.

"Me and Jake are heading to the cullens, wanna go?" Valentine asked. Jake was already in the truck, get it started for the 30 minute or so drive.

"Nope. Me and Seth are hanging out at the dinner today." Valentine nodded, before ruffling Kelens short mess of hair.

"Stay safe, ok, also make sure to turn the alarm to 'armed leave', and don't forget your keys." Valentine checked of.

"Of course." Kalen assure before giveing a stern salute. Valentine chuckle before tuning and heading out.

Jake was driving, so Valentine setting himself in the passenger set. As they drove, Valentine use the pad connected to the truck to turn on a audio book he and Jake listened to together when they both had time. Kalen had found it on his kindle and thought it was hilarious. It was a love story about a witch and a werewolf, and if you haven guessed. Gay as fuck.

That was where there similarity ended thoug. The werewolf was big and brooding and the witch was the embodiment of sunshine and rainbow but was really depressed and tucked it deep inside. The book was really good so far, with solid characters with diverse backgrounds.

Then they made it to the cullens Valentine paused the book from the tablet before getting out. When they knocked it was Bella who answered.

"Hey," she greeted, though her voice was nervous and suspicious as hell. Valentine raised a eyebrow as he greeted her back and walked into the house.

Valentine was surprised when he first came into the moder house. It not that he was expecting cobwebs and caskets, he just wasn't expecting it to be so... bright.

"Whay are you standing like that." Valentine asked his sister. She was stiff, her back rigged and her eye downcast.

"I, um- there's... something I want to tell you." Bella explained though a stutter. Valentine eyes flashed with worry, but he covered it up quickly. If this was the part Bella said she didn't want him around anymore, Valentine didn't want to hear it.

"Ok." Valentine said simple, and Bella stared to walk away, nothing man following.

"What?" Valentine asked as Jake move in close, grabbing his hand and squeezed.

When Bella stoped, they where in the living room along with the rest of the cullens.

"What is this?" Valentine asked with a sharp lilt to his voice.

"Our dad, he can't know about." She gestured to herself, "this." She finished.

"Ok, so?" Valentine asked, Jake close by.

"He's been calling three times a day." Edward says, and something cold run though Valentine.

"He needs to mourn." Carlisle says, his voice soft. Valentine stares blankly.
