Chapter 23

It was a know fact Valenti would not fight if not along side his mate, so the agreed a pond solution was Seth. "Take care of my daughter." Bella said as she lifted the girl up on Seth's back. Seth grunted before he turned and ran with her. Kalen, the stubborn boy, made a point he would also be apart of the fight, so despite Valentine hesitation, he was here.

Alice turned sharply to Aro and delivered a power kick to his chin, sending him flying feet onto the air, only for him to make a smooth landing Alice turned, trying to make her get way, but was captured easily.

"Take her away." Aro command. Just as they started to back away with her, Carlisle charged, "let her go!" He yelled. Using his speed as he ran, he took down four vampires who tried to stop him, then jump in the air, Aro did the same. Aros landed on his feet. Carlisle did not. In Aros hands, held the decapitated head of Carlisle.

Aros smile was cruel as a fire was set on Carlisle body. Fueled by rage and grief, the vampires ran. The wolfs stay back until the Volturis were set lose then the ran.

Body's and teeth clashed. Arms lost and magic set wild. Valentine on Jake's back, he used his fire to set flam to close vampire. To his advantage, they tryed to avoid him in a fight, but that just meant he knew they were terrified to face his flames. He didn't want to risk using fire ball and accidentally scorch the wrong side, so he go face to face with them. Easier said then done when on a shifter back.

Because nobody wanted to go one-on-one with Valentine's flames, he could assess the damages. He could see who needed help, and help them. So when Valentine saw a one of the Wolves being attacked by the blonde sadistic vampires with her 'pain' gift, he  dismounted Jake as he set of to help a vampires who was being ganged up on the three.

Valentine rushed to the vampire. He grabbed her by her collar and used a fired up palm and placed it in the center of her stomach. He used his other hand to push her back on the flames. She screamed in agony, bending over. Before valentine could build the flame enough for it to create a hole in her stomach, her brother snuck up behind him.

A hand grabe his neck, squeezing tight. Valentine cod feel the panic raising in him. The pressure of the hold, cruel and meant to kill in second. Valentine reached up to the men's head, his flames sizzling as he starting to lose consciousness. Just as his flickering flames grazed the man's head, a earthquake rupture the center to the field turned battle ground.

The vampire release Val and pushed him into the cracking grounds.

He fell.

"No!" Someone, a vampire rushed to him, diving into the pit below that drowned with lava. The vampire caught Valentine, and he could see who it was.

Kalen.

They were still in danger, dangling the in middle of the cracked earth. Kalen had there hands clawed into the rock, Val inbetween them as he climes them up. They where so near the top when the stone started to give, started to crumble.

"Let me go Kalen, it won't support us both." Valentine cried, desperate for at least the boy he thought of as he son to survive.

"No! I- I won't let you die." Kalen cried right back. The earth gave way, making them fall a few inches.

"You need to. Please Kelan, our weight is to much." Valentine explains, desperate as his heart pounded.

Valentine could see it in the boy's eyes when he made up his mind. He was relived when he felt his finger start to relax, relive with the knowledge that even if he didn't live, Kelan would.

"Dad." Kelan mutter. "You saved me that day. I would have died if not for you." Kelan said, tears in his eyes that he blinked away.

"It doesn't matter, you need to live Kal. You need to." Valentine said. Kelan let's put a chocked sob.

"I love you. Tell Jake he's my favorite and that I'll miss him. Tell Seth I'm sorry and he a fucking idiot." Just like that Valentine's heart broke and he knew- he fucking knew what Kalen was planning to do.

"No! Wait wait- don't you fucki-" But it was too late, because of the shaky smile Kalen let go, while making sure valentine hands where placed in the right place to keep him steady as he dropped.

Valentine screamed in agony. He was so close to falling right after him, but just as he was a strong grip caught his wrist.  Valentine looked up, he saw Jake, tears streaming down his eyes as he pulled Valentine up.

"No! No! Kalen- I have to." Valentine was hyperventilating as Jake pulled him against him.

"I know baby, I know." Jake cried. "We can't die yet. He wouldn't want that." Jake said, even as he let out a sob.

Valentine let out a deep, guttural cry. Then he forced himself back together. This want over. Anger and rage fueled his enter being. Be need them dead. Revenge filled him as he made his vision clear, eyes looking for two siblings.

He didn't see the brother, but he saw her. Alice was going after the vampire, but with a spell that made her attention draw to valentine, she stoped. She must have seen the venom and hatred in her eyes because when there eyes met, Alice was quick to change course.

He was going to destroy her.
