Chapter 17

Valentine slept against Jake's sholder on the ride. The search for witnesses began on a long trip to there closest relatives in the north. The terrain was mountains of snow. Cold but beautiful.

Edward pulled up on a modern cabin type house on the top of a mountain. Valentine eyes fluttered open. His eyes adjusted quickly as he watched four vampires come from out of the house.

Edward got out as the rest stayed in.

"Edward, is everything okay?"

"Why didn't you reply us you where coming?"

"Is it Irina?"

"Have you hear from her?"

"Not directly." Edward says to the four vampires.

"Why is your bride waiting in the car?" The only male vampires asked.

"And why have you brought a wolf with you? I can smell him from here" The vampire beside him questions with a sneer.

"My family's in danger. I need your help." Edward tell them, cutting to the chase.

"What's happening?" A dark haired female vampires asked, her voice a pitch high.

"It's hard to explain but I need you to be open minded. Can you do that?" Jake asked.

"Of course." One of the to blond vampires agrees easily.

Bella turns to Renasmee with a motherly smile.

"Ok. Time to meet some knew people." Bella says.

"What if they don't like me?" Renasmee asked in a small voice.

"They'll love you." Jake says.

"They will." Bella agrees.

"They just need to get to know you first." Valentine says with a wide grin thay made Renasmee smile.

"They haven't met anyone like you before." Jake says.

"Nobody like uncle Val either." Bella says. Renasmee looks to Valentine hopefully, and Valentine nods.

"Nope, we're one of a kind." Valentine says, even though thay wasn't one hundred percent true, it made the kid light up.

"Ok, I'm ready." Renasmee says confidently qnd within a few seconds, they all get out of the car.

When the vampires see the girl, they all gasp in horror as the stumble back.

"The Volturi will come for all of us." One of the blonds say, her hair straight. One of her hands on the other curly haired blond, like she was the protector.

"You get that thing out of here." The other blond says with fear.

"She's not what she looks like." Edward says quickly.

"This is a crime!" The curly haired blond growls before launching herself at Edward, be he managed to throw her off. The other blond go's at him, but she use her powers to electrocut him.

Valentine sighs, before he slows time. He walks up to the vampire, slowly removes her hand as to not get electrocuted himself, then let's it go back to normal.

The vampire trys to go at him, but when he lights a bright fire, she stays where she is.

"You guys need to calm down. She has blood in he veins. You can feel it." Valentine says.

"I can feel it." The brunette says.

"I'm her biological father. Bellas her mother." Edward explains.

"Impossible." The straight haired blond says.

"Some would say the same about mages, but alas. Here we are." Valentine speaks, taking a dramatic bow. The vampires all gawk at him.

"I thought your species when extinct." The brunette says.

"Well, there me. Sooo...." Valentine says with a shrug. "But this isn't about me, it's about her." Valentine says, gestring to Renasmee.

"And she was born while I was still human." Bella says.

"I never hear of such a thing." The guy says in honest to god suprise.

"She can show you if you let her." Edward says, looking back to Renasmee and Jake who starts walking to them.

"Tanya, you owe us this much." Edward says to the brunette. "We're leaving under a death sentence because your sister didn't let us explain." Tanya close her eyes, before giving a nod.

When they where up to the curled blond, Jake picks her up so she can reach her face, but the vampire finches away.

"Don't be afraid. This is how she communicate." Bella says to vampire.

Renasmee slowly touched her cheek, and after a while, the vampires looks at her in complete surprise and shoke. But not fear.

"It's true." She confirms.

"She's not immortal."
