"Sorry." Valentine mumbled. Jake looked over at him.
"For what?" Jake asked, but he knew.
"You know what. For making you choose, I know it hurts you to leave your family like that." Valentine says, his eyes filling with tears. Jake took the two steps it took for him to wrap Val into his hold.
"I will always choose you. No matter what. I love you with my entirety. And you didn't make me choose, I chose on my own."
"But I-"
"No. I chose it, and I will never regret it. Not ever." Jake assured, hugging him tighter. Jake was slow to connect their lips. The kiss was sure and without doubt. What Valentine needed. When they broke apart, Valentine gave a small smile.
"Woah!" They both turned to see Seth almost trip over a rock.
"Don't worry, they're not following us." Seth said to Jake who looked behind him, not to check, but to make sure it was a rock Seth almost failed over.
"What do you think you're doing here?" Jake asked his voice a tinge of annoyance and a tinge of worry.
"I left Sam's pack." Seth shrugged like it was no big deal.
"Seth, this isn't some small discussion," Valentine says, not wanting more people to leave the family they always knew.
"I know, and I won't stand behind them!" Seth argued.
"Oh yes, you will, I'm not kidding, get out of here," Jake told the kid.
"Is that an order? You gonna make me bow down to?" Seth asked Jake, who looked away.
"I'm not ordering anyone. I'm fighting beside my mate, ok." Jake explained, and Valentine's heart fluttered.
Totally not the time heart.
"Great, I've got your backs," Seth said all proud and sure as he turned, ready to march anywhere they were.
"No, you don't!" Seth looked at Jake, eyes full of defiance, and Valentine just knew.
"When Sam comes after Bella, are you really ready to fight your own brothers? Your sister?" Jake asked, and Seth didn't hesitate with his answer.
"If it's the right thing to do." Valentine couldn't help it. He chuckles, his hand coming up to hide his face.
"Sorry, it just you as stubborn as Jake." Valentine comments, and Seth stood up straighter.
"Thanks, also apparently I have to always be on Kalen side. And he'd definitely be on your guys side." Seth informs. Jake's shakes his head.
"Yeah, alright. We're going to give the Cullens a head up, do what you want." Jake says head of to the other direction, Seth skipping along.
"How cool is this? A four man pack! Four against the world!" Seth said excitedly.
"Your getting on my nerves seth." Jake says as he walked down a small slop.
"Four?" Valentine questioned.
"Kalen, obviously." Seth says and Valentine agrees.
Four, definitely four.

When they got to the cullens house, Edward was already out on the front porch.
"Get ready, there comeing for Bella." Valentine informed the vampire.
"There nit gonna touch her." Edward promises.
"Agreed."
Edward nodded his head, Valentine following the moment. A silent pact to protect his very bitchy sister. Then Edward retreats.
"Man I can smell them out here." Leah says as she walks up to them. Jake was the first to speak.
"What the hell are you doing here?" He growls.
"I'm not gonna let my little brother get himself killed." Keah says with a shrug.
"Go away Leah." Seth says, thought more in pride then anything else. "I can take care of myself." He mumbles.
"The fact you think so proves you need a babysitter." Leah remarks.
"Will the both of you shut up." Jake says, and just like that, they do. Both looking back at him.
"Did Sam send you?" Jake asked.
"Sam doesn't even know I left." Leah tells him, and then the sound of wolfs howling catchs there attention.
"I think he just figured it out." Valentine quipped, looking of to the sound.
"Jake." Leah calls. Jake turns to her.
"I know what his plan is."
