When I was in the cell, I was surrounded by people that either wanted to kill me, or people that I wanted to kill. I kept my eyes on the ground, and the people that knew of Skaiplana couldn't help but stare.

I was weakened to the point where I wanted to give up. I abandoned my friends to hopefully come to save my father, but now he was in the City of Light.

"Indra, yu nou gaf in breik ai au(Indra, you don't have to free me)," a Grounder female said. "Ba Skaikru strat ste os(But Skaikru's plan is good)."

"Running is not a plan," Indra said.

"It's not running. It's surviving," Murphy spat out.

"For how long? This threat will find us all eventually," Indra explained.

"The boy is right. We regroup and come back stronger. It's a legitimate battle strategy," Sullivan said, and I just snapped.

"No!" I yelled at him, standing up. "You don't get to do that!" All eyes turned to me as I finally reveal my anger toward that man. "You've been on Pike's side the entire time, you've been watching me and my sister, and when we escaped Arkadia, you searched for us here."

"Jules, this isn't the time," Murphy tried to say, but I brushed him off.

"For ten years, I tried to forget what you did. But then you just show up randomly, letting me know that you're still alive." I slowly approached him. "I had so many chances to kill you, but my father is the only one that knew what you did. And if I told anyone else, they would think I'm crazy!"

I could see his fear. "Jules, I didn't do anything," he tried.

"No, but you let it happen." I punched him in the gut. He lifted his head to look at me. "Admit it... that's all I want. I want you to know how you hurt me... to know the pain you caused." I held my knife to his throat, and he gave in.

"Yes... I framed you, I helped Moore take advantage of you. Is that what you wanted to hear? And yes! I do know the pain I caused you. Because guess what? After you disappeared off the Ark, I had a kid. And I couldn't even imagine what it would be like if someone hurt him the way I hurt you. Not until he was dying in my arms. And in those last moments... he looked at me--terrified, helpless--the same way you looked at me that day." His voice faltered. "And I couldn't stop it. I couldn't take away his pain. I couldn't save him... just like I didn't save you." His breath shook as he whispered, "You happy now? You happy I finally admitted it?"

That was all I needed to hear. I stepped back, lowering the knife. The rage I'd carried for so long still burned hot inside me, but there was something else now — something colder.

I turned back to the group, my voice steady. "I want revenge just as much as most of you. But first, we will fight this together." I turned back to Sullivan, meeting his eyes one last time.

"And then," I said coldly, "I'll make sure you never show your face here again."

I returned to my position. "Instead of running, I suggest we kill their leader, Jaha," Indra said.

"Now that's a strategy I can support," Murphy told her. "Unfortunately, he's not their leader, though. He's being controlled just like everyone else by that..." He paused, almost as if his thought had been blocked by something greater.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing," he said and lowered his head. "Never mind, forget it."

"John, this isn't a time for..." Pike began, but he was cut off when clanking was heard outside.

A Grounder and an Ark guard came into the cell, finally getting a look at everyone since I was thrown back in here. "Who's ready to take the key?" the Grounder asked.
