(Lucia's POV)

Wiona points to a spot on a map of the night market, tracing a line as they spoke.

"This is their usual route. They normally start over by the traders and work their way towards their headquarters."

I nod as I memorize the layout. "So, what is our plan of action here? Kidnap a few guys and beat them up?" Letting out a laugh, I make fists with my hands and jab the air. Wiona flashes a smirk at me, and I drop my hands. "Wait, are you serious? We are actually doing that?" I look to them, and they do a seesaw motion with their hand. My body fills with confusion as well as excitement. Wiona is a pretty chill person but pushed too far, they can be brutal. A situation has never gotten to this point where they would ACTUALLY consider this plan.

"Not multiple guys, just one. But this guy will give us an advantage if we want to stay in the game."

"Are we kidnapping the boss?" They shake their head.

"No, not the boss. The assistant." I stop in my tracks as they turn to face me.

"Why the assistant?"

"The assistant is in charge of literally everything in this. He makes the arrangements for the deliveries, telling the sellers where and who to sell to, arranging meeting. He basically runs the whole show."

I nod, "So we break in, kidnap the assistant, then what?"

"We get what we can out of him. Whether that's information, money, a new worker."

"Will I get to use my bat at any point?" They chuckle and nod.

"Oh, for sure" A smirk appears on my face, and I crack my knuckles.

"Then I'm all in."

(Amelia's POV)

Dummy: Wiona and I are going to be gone for a few days. I already told Luz that we have business to take care of. This job is a big one. Be back soon <3

Amelia: Okay, I guess I'll babysit for you. Be safe and don't get killed.

Amelia: Cause if you do, I'll be so pissed.

"Do you know where- everything okay?" My sister looks at me as I put my phone next to me on the end table. "Yea, just hurting a bit. What do you need help finding?" She throws her thumb over her shoulder, "I'm trying to find a lighter or matches. It's almost dusk and we were thinking of starting the pit." I nod, pushing myself up and walk over to the kitchen. "Try looking in one of those drawers." I point to the other side of the sink. She follows my instructions and rummages through them.

"Any luck mittens?" She shakes her head, "You?" I do the same as I open the top drawer. "Ah ha! Matches!" I hold up the box and my sister's face light up as I toss them over to her. She catches them and I wave her off. "Go ahead and get ready, I'll be right out. And don't set the backyard on fire." She nods and walks out the door as I look at my phone.

Dummy: Yes ma'am

I snicker and put my phone in my pocket. Laughter ensues from the backyard, drawing my attention to the window. Agustus sits close to the pit, holding a stick with a dripping marshmallow as Willow holds her phone up, most likely taking a picture and my sister sits, crawled up next to Luz, who is taking a bite out of a chocolate bar. I smile at the picture Infront of me and pull out my phone, snapping a picture of the four. I grab the drinks from the fridge and head outside to join them.

"Alright, I've got tea, water, and lemonade and pizzas on the way." They all cheer and laugh. "Thanks Amelia." I sit next to my sister and her girlfriend. "It's no problem, now pass me a stick goops." He rolls his eyes as he passes me a stick with a marshmallow on the end. "I really don't get why you call me that." I chuckle and ruffle his hair. "Honestly I'm not sure either. It just sounds like a good nickname for ya." He shakes his head and Willow chimes in. "Yes Gus, it does fit you. Hey Luz, we should start calling him Goops." Gus lets out a whine as Luz and Amity laugh.

After a few rounds of smores and jokes and stories, the doorbell rings. "Pizzas here!" Gus and Willow rush into the kitchen as Amity stands up. "I'm going to get the plates. Do you guys need anything?" Luz and I shake our heads and she heads inside.

"You know," Luz adjusts in her seat and looks up at the sky, "I can't remember the last time I had a smore or been to a bonfire." I look at her, "Really?" She nods. "Yea, we never really had bonfires. Eric wasn't big on fires. He was always worried they would draw attention and he hated drawing attention to himself." "Oh?" She nods, crossing her arms. "Can I be honest?" I look at her, "Always Luz" She adjusts in her seat, "I can't really remember anything from my childhood. Like sure I remember a Christmas or two but nothing else." I shift so I'm looking at her and there is a pained expression on her face. "Lucia used to say it was because my mind kept me from remembering so I didn't relive the bad things. Which makes sense but a small part of me wishes I could remember." I rest my hand on her shoulder and smile, "I get it. Maybe we could look up some ways to help with that?" A small light comes back to her eyes as she gives a small smile. "Maybe"

"WE HAVE FOOD!" Gus announces as he holds two pizza boxes while making a horrible impression of a trumpet. Willow walks out hold the other two boxes and Amity, with the plates and boxes of bread sticks and dipping sauces. "Gus we just ate smores." "True, but that is technically dessert, so it doesn't count." Willow rolls her eyes as Luz snorts. They set up the pizzas on the table and dig in. My stomach lets out a growl and I grab a slice of pepperoni. We spend the rest of the night talking and laughing. After a while, I look over to see Gus passed out leaning against his chair. Willow smirks and reaches for her phone. "Ohoohoo, payback time" Her phone starts flashing as she takes more and more pictures of her sleeping friend. Luz and Amity snicker as Willow takes a few more pictures and sits back down. "Now we see which one is the best."

Amity laughs and stands up, walking over to the door, "Anyone need anything from inside?" We all shake our heads, and she walks inside. I stare at the flames as my mind wanders. Luz suddenly breaks the silence. "We should go out tomorrow." Willow, surprised, looks up from her phone and I turn my head. "What?" Luz looks to us with an unreadable expression. "I mean, Amity has had a rough few days. I know she's feeling confused and scared right now but doesn't want to make us worry. I was thinking that maybe we could treat her to something tomorrow, like a movie or something." I think about it, and she isn't wrong, Amity probably is really stressed right now. "I don't know Luz, do you really want to risk seeing her dad or yours in town?" Her body tenses but she shakes it off. "Knowing her father, he wouldn't spend a single second in my town. It's not fancy. As for my parents, I don't know. I just want to help Ams right now and make her feel loved." A smile makes its way onto my face and I put my hand on her shoulder. "What's the plan?"

(Amity's POV)

As I walk out of the bathroom, I hear laughter from outside. I go to the window and see the three girls around the fire, laughing as Luz tells a story about something. She suddenly gets up and stomps like an angry old lady, which send Willow and my sister into a fit of laughter. I can't help the smile that spreads across my face at the sight. I watch for little longer. Watching as Luz tells her story and how relaxed she is. I see a smile on her face, one I haven't seen as often as I used to. A small thud scares me out of my thoughts, and I turn to see a half-asleep Gus standing in the room. "Oh sorry" he says in a groggy tone as he throws his thumb over his shoulder, "I was just going to bed. Didn't mean to scare you." I wave him off and chuckle, "No it's okay. I was just lost in thought. Goodnight." He mumbles something and walks slowly up the stairs, probably trying not to fall asleep.

I grab some blankets from the couch and go back outside. I hand everyone a blanket and sit next to luz, who covers us with the soft blanket. She wraps her arm around my shoulder and pulls me closer. I don't really hear the conversation going on because I'm too busy studying the girl next to me. Her movements, her smell, her laugh, everything. The way she never lets go of me and always makes me feel safe. I lean my head on her shoulder and close my eyes. The last thing I remember is a soft voice.

"Buenos noche mi amor"

(Hey guys! I know I keep disappearing and I am so sorry. I recently moved and I haven't had a chance to write but I promise I will do my best. As always, I hope you enjoyed the chapter and don't forget to comment and vote, <3)
