Not long after I returned home, I immediately dropped my belongings to my room and began changing. Afterwards, I began cooking for dinner. Since the Magnum will be here a little later once Ai arrives, I thought why not make her a good dinner as well.

If the ice cream isn't with her however, I'll just probably eat the katsudon I will be preparing in front of her. Just kidding. I'm not that cruel.

Shaking those thoughts aside, I started to do my chores. As mentally noted, the things I will do at this time of the day is to prepare dinner. Yes, for Ai and mine. Since today is a weekday, it's my turn to do the cooking. And once the weekends arrive, it's Ai's turn.

Of course, we pay our own fair share of money to buy the ingredients necessary for the viands we wanted to cook and we constantly shift every week. With a minimum of ten thousand yen, I was the one who went to the market and buy the things that are necessary to buy given how famous she is.

One might argue that our situation or relationship is like that of a busy wife and me being a househusband, and that's not an easy thing to deny after all, we've been doing this ever since that incident with... Yuki.

I shook my head and emptied my thoughts and began cooking rice and the katsudon.

About half an hour later, I finally finished cooking the katsudon and covered it with a plastic. Since Ai hasn't arrived yet, I began to slouch in the couch and pulled my phone out to play mobile games.

By the way, there was no rhyme intended there.

As I sat on the couch, I pondered and contemplated in my head on what to play: Genshin Impact or Call of Duty Mobile? Nah, I'll probably make my brain work even if it's just for a little bit while and ultimately decided to play chess instead.

I clicked on the Play Store button and searched for a chess app. The first result to come out was the app I downloaded. After downloading, I started to set my account up as per the instructions.

Afterwards, it's finally done. But before I could play my first match, I heard my doorbell ring twice and the sound of it opening. Looks like she's here.

"I am home~!!!" Ai cheerfully announced.

"This isn't your house for the four-hundredth and twentieth time," I shot back.

"For the four-hundredth and twentieth time also, a home is very different from a mere house or in my case, a condominium!"

We've been through this same routine every time she arrives for more than a year now. It is honestly surprising how she's not given up on repeating this cycle even though a year and fifty-five days has passed.

"Jeez, Kiyotaka! Just how thick and dense is that skull of yours?"

"Where's the ice cream?"

"Kugeyama-san changed it for these! Tada!" She showed a rather unusual box.

"What's that?"

"A chocolate! A premium chocolate!"

"A Magnum ice cream is still better."

"Lemme hear your introduction first! Besides, it's already been a common thing to know that eating a dessert before eating dinner is a bad habit!"

"That's pure nonsense. Just be honest and tell me you are broke as of the moment."

"Looks like I've been found out! Teehee~!"

She said with an "oops!" pose while sticking her tongues out.

Cute...

"Well..." I stood up. "Just make sure to buy that ice cream as soon as you can get your hands on that paycheck. A bet is a bet after all."
