[Kiyo]

While I was in the middle of dealing the cards to the others, my phone suddenly rang.

It was Ai calling. I haven't even taken a look at the phone and yet I can already tell who it is.

"Excuse me," I said as I excused myself.

"Where are you going, Kiyotaka?" Shiro asked.

"Someone's calling."

"Is it your girlfriend?" Suou asked in behalf of everyone with a cheeky smirk. Others followed a smirk too.

"Could be," I told her. "Excuse me again. Please continue playing without me."

"Oh... Sure!"

After I distanced myself from the others and ensuring that nobody will be able to eavesdrop in our conversation, I answered the call. And just as I guessed, it really was Ai calling.

<<Yes, Ai?>>

<<How's your trip so far?>> She asks.

<<I'm having a whole lot of fun. It's honestly a shame you couldn't come,>> I answered.

<<Heeh~ I'm envious.>> Just by judging her tone of voice, she must've been puffing her cheeks right now.

You shouldn't have gotten me inseminate you in the first place...

That was the first thing my brain came up with as a reply. However, I thankfully managed to seal my lips tight before I can say it to her. No doubt, that will hurt her feelings despite it sounding sarcastic.

<<Anyway, are you craving for something? I'll buy it for you once we come back from this trip."

<<Well, I'm not really craving for anything in particular but all I want are photos, and make sure you shoot every scenery you find attractive,>> she said. "But if you're really insistent on buying me something, I suppose some green mangoes will do.>>

That sure is a brilliant and devious way of ordering me around.

<<Fine, I'll dive around the sea tomorrow.>>

<<Wait, what?! You're not coming home yet?>>

<<Well, Mother said we can just call her whenever we feel like coming home. And we later agreed that we'll spend three days here before we come back. Are you feeling lonely, right now?>> A smile emerged as I asked her that question.

The fresh, cold, night wind blew past me as I waited for her answer.

Ahhh... this feels nice. Having a fresh breeze of wind go past you while having a night call with someone. I could get addicted to this. But I think it feels better if she's by my side leaning her head on my shoulder.

<<Is that even a question? Of course, I do! So come home, quickly!>>

<<You miss me?>> I asked, my usual monotone voice felt like it ceased to exist but instead a gentle voice came out as if it were my usual voicw. Afterwards, I started feeling my lips slowly curve up into a smile yet again.
