[A/N: The final part of the chapter was meant for Alya to sing to Kiyo since it suits her character very much 😭]

Almost half an hour passed ever since I left the school and headed to the studio. And now, finally I arrived safe and sound despite the fact that I almost broke the assigned speed limit.

This is the first time I had my composure this wrecked. I never would've thought I would become this careless either. I made sure to remind Ai to drink the pills. But now that I thought about it, I never actually seen her drink it.

Her meticulousness must've left so much impression towards me that I didn't even bother to check on her because I thought she would really drink it knowing the consequences of what will happen if she didn't drink it.

Emergency pills were said to reduce the risk of pregnancy by approximately 75%.

Of course, there is also a possibility where Ai got careless and drank the pill late. Within those 72 hours after that unprotected love-making, the 87% protection given by the levonorgestrel still wasn't enough. The remaining 13% still managed to fertilize an egg cell.

I don't know if this can be considered as lucky or not. Well, depends on the perspective but in our case, I guess it's not.

Shaking my thoughts away for a moment by shaking my head to and fro, I inhaled a deep breath before releasing a huge exhale to compose myself and then I removed my helmet and walked my way to the studio.

I was greeted by some of the staff I met with a smile while some wondered why I skipped school.

"Kiyotaka? What are you doing here? What about school?" My mother walked towards me and patted me in the back as if she was worrying over something.

"I just got bored at school so I decided to take the day off," I responded. "You look like you were worrying over something, though? Is something bothering you, Mother?"

The question's purpose wasn't solely just to change the subject, but to know what made her look that worried were too. I need to raise my guard up even more as not to show any weakness even though we potentially have one, with Ai's pregnancy.

"I think I just got traumatized that time you were attacked in your house. Since then, seeing you leave unsupervised always made me think of the worse thing that could happen. Should I assign you a guard to look after you, Kiyotaka?"

"I understand that, Mother, but you don't have to worry. I can protect myself just fine. Besides, I don't see that man having any arms or any men he can use to pull some strings behind the scenes."

"I guess you are right. But as of now, you can just stay here," Mother smiled. "By the way, have you told the school officials why you skipped your classes?"

"Hmm, well, I just said something urgent happen, but it's nothing really. I just got bored in reality," humming, I replied. It's no use to try and lie directly in front of her face as I know she can just call Shiro right here and now to confirm if what I said was the truth or not.
