Tim's day had been impossibly long. No matter how much he tried to deflect, Joelle WOULD NOT LET UP with the flirting. And whenever he tried to text Lucy to complain Aaron would interrupt him. Aaron was really basking in my misery. That little shit. I'll show him what misery is. Now let's just hand this woman back off to Grey so that I can be done with her.

"How was it? Hope you got the material you needed."

"Oh, I got so much more than I needed." She shoots Tim a smile then her attention back to Sargent Grey. "I was actually hoping you'd guest on one of the lessons. I'd love for the students to hear from someone with your experience and social awareness."

"I'd be honored." He responds, pleased.

"Well, I'll get going then. I've got a little niece to suffocate with my love. Thank you, guys, so much for doing this with me today. It was fun." She moves closer to Tim, "Maybe I could buy you a drink? To say thank you."

Jesus! Give it a rest. I AM NOT INTERESTED.

"Oh, no that... that's unnecessary. We were just doing our jobs. Plus, Leah's waiting for you." He gives her his best fake smile and books it to the locker room.

Aaron's POV

As soon as Tim turned around Joelle and I are on the floor laughing.

"He was so uncomfortable. I was so sure that the last comment would finally break him. Maybe I should've pushed harder." she says disappointed

"There is no way he would've admitted anything. Lopez thinks he's weak, but it's because they've been besties forever. He's only weak to her."

"He is definitely going to cry to his girlfriend about me tonight. I've never seen anyone run away this fast." Joelle laughs some more.

Girlfriend. SHIT. I forgot to unblock her number.

"Oh my god. I forgot something, I'll be right back." I run after Tim.

Great he hasn't made it to the showers yet. He's just sitting there looking defeated. I should take a picture of him, he looks absolutely miserable.

"Aaron?" He caught me staring.

"Can I see those crime scene pictures again Sarge? Lopez was just asking me if there were any more, but I'm sure I sent them all over."

"Yeah, sure. Here you go."

"Man, Harper's sister-in-law really likes you huh?" He pulls up the contacts and unlocks Lucy's number.

"Yeah no kidding. I was almost sure she'd follow me home"

Aaron laughs at Tim's response. I should play along, if he spills to me Lopez and Harper will die.

"But I don't get it. She's really cute and obviously smart. And more importantly, she's into you. Why didn't you go out with her?" Come on man you can trust me. " I mean it's been a while since you and Ashley broke up. You should get back out there."

Aaron can tell by the glare Tim's shooting him that there is no chance of him ever admitting anything to him.

"I am not discussing my personal life with you Thorsen."

"Sorry." Tim stands up and makes his way to the shower room. "See you tomorrow Sir."

"See you tomorrow Aaron."

Back to Tim's POV

As soon as Tim's out of Aaron's view he pulls out his phone and texts Lucy.

Hey, what are you doing tonight?

Nothing.

You wanna come over?

I can't. Tamara was giving me so much crap about where I was last night.

Oh.

Maybe you could come over? She'll probably have plans with her friends, it's Friday.

I could do that.

Okay, so I'll go home and text you when she's gone and you can come over.

I can't believe we have to sneak around like this.

It's fun! Like we're teenagers.

Well, I've had such a long day. All because I can't tell people that I have a girlfriend.

What? How?

Harper's sister-in-law was crushing on your man.

Harper's sister-in-law?

Yeah, she came on a ride along with Aaron and me.

Isn't she a lawyer?

How do you know that?

Because, Tim, I'm friendly, I ask people questions.

:|

Anyway, she's not a lawyer anymore. She's lecturing at UCLA next semester.

Oh cool! Do you think they'd let me attend?

Did you miss the part where I said that she was aggressively hitting on me all day?

Aggressively :p

Hey! She was!

Okay, Mr. Popular. I'm going to shower now.

You don't believe me?

No, I do! I just think your definition of aggressive flirting is a bit different than everyone else's.

Fine

Babe. Don't be mad.

I'm not mad

Good. See you later :)
