Chapter 8: The Crow And The Panther

Right from where we were left off, Lanz, Leader of the Knights, found himself fighting against one of his next opponents, Felicia Noir, in the ring as they clash their weapons before leaping away to get their distances from each other. 

As Lanz leaps away, he transforms his scythe to its revolver form and shoots Felician, but the Pantheress Knight blocks the shots with her bandaged great sword beffore dashing towards him again and they continue to clash their weapons at each other with each swings.

Port: My this is quite outstanding! Don't you agree, Barty?

Oobleck: Yes! Very much so! Even though our past matches has been quite exciting, this is by far the most excited I have ever felt to see who would really win! But besides the excitement, I am quite curious though. Why was Mr. Wuking replaced by this missy?

Port: To all of our viewers that are joining us today, the fight is supposed to be Lanz Corvine, Team Leader of LAVA, facing against Sun Wukong, leader of Team SSSN. But to our surprise, Mr. Wukong is currently absent for the time being due to the fact that his leg, and I quote "broken". Luckily we have another competitor who is willing to be in Mr. Wukong's place! But then again, it is strange. This is actually the first time that one of our competitors has been replaced by another. I wonder why is that... oh that doesn't matter! As the saying goes, the stranger the match, the more fun it will be!

Port said excitedly with his fist bumped in the air.

Oobleck:...I don't think anyone says that...

The two of them clashed their weapons at each other again and glare at each other.

Felicia: Finally! I've been waiting for this moment for my entire life!

Lanz: What? Fighting someone you just met? Sounds a bit weird, don't ya think?

Lanz said before Felicia shoves Lanz away and swings her sword to the side. But the Vigilant Crow quickly jumped in the air, dodging it and lands back on the ground at a safe distance.

Lanz: Hey, I know we're in a match and all, but can I ask you something? Have you and I met before? Cause you seem really familiar.

Lanz asked curiously before dodging another attack coming from her and then leaping away.

Felicia: Are you seriously flirting? Now that's new coming from you!

Lanz: Hey, I wasn't flirting, I was just asking if-- wait a minute, new? So we did met before! Haven't we?

Felicia didn't answer his question as she dashes up to him, lifts her sword in the air and swings it down towards Lanz. But the Vigilant Crow disperses into a flock of crows before reforming back behind her.

Felicia turned her head around, glaring at the Vigilant Crow before charging towards him again with her bandaged greatsword and the two of them clashed each other's weapons again. As the two kept dodging and blocking each other's attacks, Team RWBY, JNPR, and the three Knights watches over by the bleachers. With some pent up in excitement of Lanz's solo match, while some are concerned.

Ruby: Is it just me? Or is that girl Lanz is fighting with seem to have a grudge on him?

Yang: Now that you've mentioned it, she does seem angry at Lanz. Hey, is there a chance Lanz has some sort of ex he hasn't mentioned before or after he betrayed the Church?

Angelo: Hmmm... no. No I don't think so. But if I were Lanz, I don't think he'd want to share all that personal stuff.

Azrael: True. And plus he does have a thing for Weiss, remember? 

Weiss: I'm right here!

Azrael: Whatever. 

Blake: So in other words, you don't know who this girl is?
