Chapter 14: Battle For Beacon, Part 2

On Beacon Academy's courtyard, Weiss is seen standing behind the Vigilant Crow who glares at the Pantheress Knight, Kyra.

Weiss: Lanz?

The Vigilant Crow stayed silent as he spins his scythe around and stands up straight.

Kyra: Well, well, well. Finally! There he is. The Vigilant Crow! Or should I say, Lanz Corvine?

Lanz silently glares at her, but he expressed his anger when he gripped the shaft of his weapon tightly. Weiss notices this and glares at Kyra as well as she feels the same anger Lanz is feeling. She was about to step up beside him in an attempt to help the Vigilant Crow with his fight against Kyra, but to her surprise, Lanz moves his hand in front of her.

Weiss: What are you--?!

Lanz: Weiss. I need you to get out of here.

Weiss: What?!

Lanz: I need you to help the rest of the students stuck here get out of Beacon Academy. I'll deal with Panthra.

Weiss: Are you insane?! No! I can't leave you here and fight her all by yourself! Don't you remember the last time you and her fought?! You almost got yourself killed!

Lanz: Weiss. Just go!

Weiss: But--

Kyra: I'd listen to him if I were you, Princess...

Weiss looks back at Kyra who stares at her claw gauntlets, inspecting of her claw's sharpness.

Kyra: You wouldn't stand a chance against me. And you'd probably won't be able to catch up with us. We Knights are special you know. That and...well, you'd be dead before you could even make the first move.

Weiss seems irritated by her statement, but she knew Kyra was right. Despite that she's a good fighter, she knows that she can't keep up with them when they start fighting. Her attention is then switched to the sound of a group of students screaming. She turns her head to the noise and sees a small group of students running away from an Ursai that roars as it chases after them.

Lanz: Weiss, go help them. They need your help more than mine.

Weiss: But what about you?

Lanz:...It's time me and Panthra go for a rematch.

Lanz said as he glares back at Kyra who scoffs at Lanz's comment.

Weiss: Are you sure you'll be safe?

Lanz glances over his shoulders to look at the Heiress and gives her a nod as a response.

Weiss:...Okay...

Weiss said before she runs away from him. But she stops to give Lanz one last look as she then says..

Weiss: You better be alright when you kick her butt, dunce...

Lanz glances at her again and gives her another nod. Weiss nods back before she continues to run away and do her task. Kyra watches her run away. She thinks that she should kill Weiss while she runs when Kyra has the chance. But the Heiress isn't her top priority. She turns her head back to the Vigilant Crow who proceeds to glare at her with his mask still on.

Kyra: Hm. Never thought I'd see the day someone shows their concerns to you. It's honestly quite surprising you know...

Lanz:....Why?

Kyra: Huh?

Lanz: Why would you do this? To me? To my team? TO MY FRIENDS!!!!

Kyra: "Why would I do this?"? Hah. I think the better question to that one is, Should I care?
