Chapter 6: Autumn

In the fairgrounds, Lanz, Angelo, Paige, Team RWBY, and Team JNPR are seen walking through the many tents and stands as they walk.

Ruby: You guys were amazing back there!

Jaune: Yeah! Although you should have take it easy on that Jester guy. 

Lanz: I know. But I had to think of another way to break away from the situation I was in.

Angelo: Still man. Twice in a row? Low blow. 

Lanz: I did say sorry!

Lanz said as he shrugs his shoulders with a nervous smile.

Weiss: I'm really glad that you won that match.

Lanz turns to Weiss who gives the Vigilant Crow a soft and relieved smile.

Weiss: I-- I mean we, wouldn't know what to do if you lost that match.

Lanz: I wouldn't know what to do either. But hey, me and Az won. All I have to deal with is the final match. The singles.

Ren: Think you could do it? I heard Azrael's condition would take him about 6 hours to recover.

Pyrrha: Yeah. His injury was pretty severe. I still can't believe that Raphael guy did that.

Lanz: Well, whoever I have to fight against in the final round, I'll do my best to win that match. And that's a promise.

Lanz said with a smile on his face, true to his own word.

Paige: Well you better. You did promise Weiss to have a date with her afterwards afterall~. Hmmmmm~.

The Vigilant Crow and the Ice Queen jolted and has a hint of blush on their faces as they turn away, embarrassed. The group laughs at their reaction, while Weiss was a bit infuriated by their mockery, while Lanz is still embarrassed.

As they kept walking, they hear someone's voice from behind.

???: Kid...

They all turn around and see Qrow, standing behind them with his hands in his pocket.

Ruby: Hey Uncle Qrow! Did you see Lanz and Az's match earlier? Wasn't it awesome?!

Qrow: Yeah, yeah, it was awesome... hey, is it alright if I borrow the kid for a while?

The group exchanged looks to each other, not sure who he was talking about.

Qrow: Lanz. Mind if I borrow Lanz for a while?

The group all let out an understanding "Ohhhhh!".

Yang: Wait, why though? 

Paige: Was it because of their fight earlier? 

Jaune: Because of that Raphael guy?

Nora: Want me to break his legs?!

Nora said threateningly as she bumps both of her knuckles together.

Qrow: No, No. Not that. I just need to talk to him for a while. That's all.

The group exchanges each other's looks again, wondering what kind of deal Qrow has in store for the Vigilant Crow.

Lanz: Uhm... okay?

Lanz said as he and the others looks back at the bold Crow, who gestures his head to follow him as he walks away.

Lanz: I'll see you guys later.

Lanz said as he catches up with Ruby and Yang's uncle as they walk side by side.

Paige: Hm... I wonder why your uncle needs Lanz's time.

Ruby: I don't know. Ah but it's probably nothing to be worried about hehe... right?
