Why do you cry? What did you learn? Is she ok? Is the baby ok ?
All of those question were thrown at Maya by Andy, worried after she saw her friend, sitting outside of the hospital while it was pouring rain, alone and crying.
Two hours ago...
Maya finally calm down as a knock was heard on the door of Carina's office.
"She's out of surgery and on the post op floor, you can go see her" Jo said before living the room.
"Go Maya, go see her, we'll wait for you here don't worry" Andy said as Vic nodded letting go of Maya's hand.
Maya was at the entrance of Carina's room however she was scared, scared to put a foot in there, scared to see in what condition her wife was.
She managed to entered the room, seeing her wife awake as she goes by her bed to sit in the chair that was beside it before taking her hand and holding it hard, not letting go any time.
She was examinating every little things that had change on her wife's body, the stitches on her head, every single injuries on her arms and then she saw it, the big bruise on her baby bump.
"We're quite worried about the bruise on her stomach but we will keep an eye on it. For now everything looks good. Also, I hate to say this but you both should decide wich one of either Carina or the baby we will save first if something happened and we have to and i said "IF" something happen and we had to." she said looking at Maya sensing her stress as she dragged herself out of the room, leaving them some privacy to discut.
"How are you my love ? she said giving her a kiss on her forehead, waiting for a response.
Carina never respond to Maya, she was staring at the ceilling, her face with no emotion on it.
She was clearly out of her head or avoiding Maya's question on purpose.
"My love? Do you hear me?" she said before rubbing her hand on Carina's belly making her flinch as she touches the bruise, making tears flowing out of her eyes.
"I'm sorry baby, i didn't mean to make you hurt"
"It hurts like hell" she said sobbing.
"I know, i'm sorry, i'm sorry that this happened and that i wasn't here with you, it's my fault."
"What do you know about it, are you the one who's hurt? No you're not, stop making everything around yourself Maya, not everything is about YOU!!" she shouts loudder making Maya loose her grip on Carina's hand.
"Okay my love i think you're a bit overwhelmed." she said trying to calm Carina, her heart rate going faster as she screams at Maya.
"Stop telling me i'm overwhelmed or that i'm tired or anything else you could say to avoid the fact Maya! I'm hurt and yes i have the right to be sad! She told me Maya she told me to...to think about the fact that if something happened, who we will decide to save." she said suddendly tearing as her voice was tendering.
"I will always choose you my love, just know that" she said grabbing Carina's hand and drawing some circles on it
"Don't be so prententious Maya" she yelled across the room.
If Maya wasn't in there, she would have sworn a storm was coming throught the room making all the walls trembling as everything around stop for a second.
"I can't afford to loose her Maya! You don't understand and you will never!! Now leave, i want to be alone..."
"Come on Carina" Maya said with tears in her eyes.
