It was August and as always it was super hot.
Maya's birthday was today so they decided to go on a small trip to the beach for the weekend.
They had to take the plane, it was only for two hours, normally it would be simple but it was easier said than done with a four almost five month old baby.
They woke up at 4am on a friday wich Carina wasn't happy about.
Their plane was at 6am, so they had to get ready quick, once again easier said than done.
Emma was having none of it, the little baby wanted to sleep, and she made sure that they knew her dissapointement.
She was crying a lot.
Maya started to load the baggages in the car while Carina was trying to sooth Emma.
She wouldn't calm down so Carina had to stay in the back with her while Maya was driving.
They arrived at 5am at the airport wich Carina was greatful for because they could take their time and maybe calm Emma down.
They headed to check out, passed the security with Emma still crying in Maya's arms this time.
She was bouncing her around like a little kangaroo but it didn't seem to calm her down.
She was exhausted and hearing her baby cry like this for an hour now made her really sad.
She decided to not give a fuck as she sat down on the waiting area while Carina was out buying some coffee.
She took her shirt off and Emma's pj off and tried skin to skin after putting a blanket over them both.
Emma immediately calm down.
"It was all it took to sooth you uhh, you love mommy's skin don't you" she said cooing at her sweet baby.
She was gurgling happily with her pacifier in her mouth and Maya couldn't feel more calm after the chaos of this morning.
"What's happening here?" Carina said coming back with two coffees in her hand.
"Well i decided to try skin on skin contact and it worked out perfectly"she said stroking Emma's cheek as her eyes were closing slowly.
"Well she could have tell us that before so we wouldn't have tried to calm her down for an hour" she said laughing slightly.
Half an hour had gone by and they were now heading towards the entry of the plane.
They found their seat, right to each other with one other seat on their left side.
Emma started whining so Carina just assumed that she was hungry.
She took off her shirt and slightly unclipped her nursing bra so that Emma could have a full access to her breasts.
She latched right onto her nipple, wich made her feel safe knowing that her baby was no longer upset.
Right before take off a red haired women was running late and came to sit in the seat that was free beside Carina.
As the plane was taking off, the red haired woman started talking to them.
"Doctor Deluca?"
"Addison?" She said turning her gaze off her daughter towards the woman.
"Well that's a coincidence, what are you doing here?"
"We're going on a short vacation for Maya's birthday, what are you doing here?"
"Oh yes hello Maya i didn't saw you" she said embarassed.
"Hey, that's fine"
"So well i'm going back home, who's this?"she said pointing under the blanket.
