Sakusa POV

Earlier that Morning

"Did you get everything?" My dad said. I nodded as I checked my phone again. I sighed and deleted the message I had left for Atsumu.

"Get in Kiyoomi, we need to get back to Tokyo asap." My mom got into the passenger seat. I pulled up my mask up and waved goodbye to my grandmother before closing the car door shut.

I guess...it was probably going to be my last time seeing Atsumu...at least for a while.

"Haa...Kiyoomi, must you keep your mask on even in the car of your parents?" My mother asked. I only continued to lightly bump my volleyball.

"And quit playing with your ball or you'll break something." My mother began her constant nagging. Keeping quiet was the only thing that could combat with my parent's lectures. Give them a sense of "victory."

But...I felt like something was missing. Like I didn't fill all the holes I wanted to before leaving. I know I should've fixed things up with Atsumu before leaving...but I guess I was too scared.

Atsumu POV

"What?" I stumbled back.

"Why don't you come inside? It seems you two got close, I'll get you some tea!" Omi-kun's grandmother invited me in. Well...more like forced.

I was shocked at how clean her place was, everything was practically shining like diamonds. Maybe that was because of Omi-kun's phobia.
I sat down at the dinner table and blushed at the thought that Omi-kun might've sat here too to eat.

That made it worse though. I felt like crying. I managed to calm down before Omi's grandma came back with two cups of tea.

"Kiyoomi has always been a good kid." She laughs as she sat on the chair across from mine.

"His parents never enjoyed his obsession with clean spaces or his disgust with dirty things. You know, Kiyoomi has always been a shy child and a little bit of coward at times, hehe." I bitterly laughed at her comment.

"There was this one time where he came back after falling into the River, crying that he must have three showers before he ate dinner. We tried therapy and such, but it just seems that he really disliked anything dirty. Eventually, I learned to accept him, and even pick up some of his habits." She laughs again at the thought. I found myself becoming very intrigued at her stories and laughing along.

"He's very distant from strangers, and scowled or uses harsh words to keep them away. So it's very surprising that Kiyoomi has made a friend. So tell me, how did you two meet?"
I was taken aback. But then I gently smiled thinking back to all of the memories we made.

I told her. I told her about how I almost Killed Sukasa with a Volleyball, how he kicked me into a closet, all of our constant bickering, and even that time when I got sick. She listened with a smile through the whole thing.

"Haha, it seemed like Kiyoomi must cherish you a lot." I then realized what she said. I smiled.

"I do too."

Her warm hands then wrapped around mine.
"Don't worry, whatever you wanted to do with Kiyoomi, you'll have another chance soon. I'll force his parents to send him back as soon as his school is done." Omi's grandma winks and me and I chuckled.

"I'll look forward to it."

I left that house, feeling better. I won't give up. And for now, I'll train hard for the tournament!

End Of Season One

Well, we're here lmao
Honestly I want to wrap this story up soon, sorry y'all for not making them yk, do it here, but I have other plans for their "make up" or Atsumu's confession. Patience my readers 😌
But anyways end of season one is finally here and looking back to all of the writing I did like in 2020 or 2021, you could tell I didn't know where I was going 💀
I wanted to write this story for fun, and wasn't expecting almost 7k views. I'm almost embarrassed because- omg y'all my story doesn't even make sense LMFAO (I didn't do proper planning like I usually do with other stories I write 💀💀)
But yeh, I thought this would be a good place to end season 1, where Atsumu realizes his feelings maybe a bit too late, but rest assured, there is hope ;)
