*FLASHBACK*
"You little bitch, were offered to us as a sacrifice. And it was done by the very church that you chosen to put so much fate in" Laito says
*END OF FLASHBACK*

"There's no way. That can't possibly be true" Yui says sadly

Yui then decides to talk to the only person she considers to be somewhat of an ally

Yui knocks on the room door but no one opens

"Roka?" Yui calls out as she knocks again

As she does so, Subaru walks by

"Tsk. If you're looking for Roka she's with Shu in his room next door" he says in annoyance as he walks pass Yui

"Oh uh, thank you!" Yui says

Then she proceeds to go to the room next door

"Oh Yui, what brings you by?" Roka smiles

'Good, she seems to be in a good mood'

"I was wondering if I could talk to you"

"Sure. Come on in" Roka says as she open the door wider

Yui can see that Shu is lying on his bed

"Umm...alone" Yui adds shyly

"Oh I see. Alright" Roka nods in understanding

"Hey sweetie" Roka says as she turns her head towards Shu

"Yeah?" Shu says, not bothering to open his eyes

"I'm going to have a chat with Yui for a bit. I'll return in a little while"

"Sure" Shu says boredly

With this, Roka steps outside the room and closes the door behind her

"Shall we head towards your sleeping quarters?" Roka asks

"Yes please" Yui nods

"Alright. Let us be off then" Roka says as the two walk towards Yui's room

When they reach the room, Roka sits down on Yui's bed

"So? What's up?" she asks

"Well yesterday, Laito told me something" Yui starts

"And that would be?"

"He told me that I was offered as a sacrifice by the church" Yui says with pain in her voice

"You are" Roka says simply

"That couldn't possibly be true. They wouldn't do that" Yui says, trying to convince herself

"The church is not as pure as it appears to be. All the previous sacrificial brides were also sent from that place"

"Where are those previous brides now?" Yui asks

Roka chuckles at this

"They were met with terrible ends. Some I personally tortured for eyeing my Shu before being shall we say 'taken care of' by the others" Roka says sadistically, making Yui gulp

But she keeps her composure

"Tell me Roka, what are 'Sacrificial Brides' and what are they for?"

"Why so curious?" Roka asks

"You know why. So please tell me" Yui says seriously

"Well let's see. Young human girls such as yourself are sent to the manor as sacrificial brides. A sacrificial bride slowly turns into a vampire herself by having her blood sucked by a group of vampires. Drinking the blood of a 'bride' who is amidst this transformation gives the vampires a special kind of strength. The process of a bride fully turning into a vampire is called the 'awakening'" Roka explains
