Changbin couldn't sleep. He stared at the ceiling above his bed, the younger boy sleeping soundly beside him as evident by the even breathing. He could hear Chan snoring on the single mattress that was shoved into his room unceremoniously. The hours slipped past him as he blinked over and over, praying for his eyes to close and not open until the sun was awake. Fate had other plans for him.

Trying his best not to wake up the boy next to him, he climbed over him and walked down to the kitchen, beginning to prepare himself a hot chocolate when he heard shuffling behind him.

"Mmm Binnie?" A deep voice said behind him, shooting shivers down his spine. God Felix's voice after he'd just woken up was criminal.

"Felix? Sorry I tried not to wake you," Changbin whispered.

"That's okay, it got cold after you left and I can't sleep without my heater," Felix chuckled, his eyes shining under the dim lights of the kitchen lamp.

"Ah cutie," Changbin sighed. "Do you want a drink? I'm making hot chocolate."

"Sounds good hyung," Felix said, taking a seat on the bench, watching Changbin work.

Once the drinks were ready, Changbin handed one to Felix and led him outside to the porch, taking a  seat on the bench that sat on his verandah. The sun was peeking over the horizon. Changbin had been awake all night. The world slept while he was wide eyed and full of thought. The cold escaped him through a breath, sending smoke into the air as he looked at Felix. His face lit up with the rising of the sun and Changbin had never once thought of someone as the sun until that very moment. The way the light swayed and curled around his hair and face made him look ethereal, his freckles proudly standing on his cheeks. In this ephemeral moment, Changbin didn't want to breathe or think or do, just watch the fleeting moment in Felix's eyes.

"Hyung? Is there something on my face–?" Felix asked after noticing Changbins stare.
"I like you."

Changbin was frozen in place, that was not what he had meant to say. Spluttering, he tried to correct himself.

"W-wait! That's not what– I just–."
"I like you too."

"W-what?"

"I like you. In a more-than-a-friend kinda way."

Changbin couldn't breathe. What was happening?

"Hyung? Are you still there?"

Changbin suddenly felt very faint. He held his head. Maybe the lack of sleep really was getting to him.

"Hey hey hey don't crash on me now. Let's get you upstairs into bed," Felix said softly into Changbin's ear as he supported his weight, forgetting all about their cups of hot chocolate..

Once the pair had made it back into the room, Felix softly laid Changbin down on the bed and tucked him in, the older immediately falling asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

"He must've been tired. Poor thing didn't get any sleep," Felix said, tenderly running his fingers through  the older's hair. He sat on the bed, Changbin's arms finding their way around his waist and his head found Felix's lap as he propped himself up against the headboard. Awkwardly bending over, Felix offered Changbin a soft kiss to his cheek.

What an endearing boy.
