Felix was sitting with Jeongin as he usually did, outside Changbin's apartment and by the river. It had become a place of comfort for him. He knocked Jeongin on the shoulder and smiled mischievously.

"Sooo, how was your date?"

"Felix, you have no idea! He's so precious and he was so nervous the whole time. When I held his hand he went all red and gave me a kiss on the cheek. And the movie was good too, it was some sequel of a horror movie that Changbin liked too and he said that he ditched him so you guys made him ask me instead."

"Yeah we did, he needed to hurry up and make a move. Anyway, tell me more."

The two spent all afternoon talking and sharing stories, most of Jeongin's coming from his date the previous day and Felix's extravagant meal at 5 Star.

"He gave you a full three course meal plus extra desserts? And you took everything home?"

"Maybe? Why? What's so bad about it?" Felix asked, eyebrows crinkling into a frown.

"He's literally in love with you," Jeongin deadpanned.

"Shut up."

"You are so stupid."

<...>

"Well, I should probably head home now, it's getting late," Jeongin started.

The pair exchanged their goodbyes and went off in their own directions, Jeongin towards the corner store and Felix up to his house that was a couple of streets away. Upon arriving, he unlocked his door and threw his keys on the hall table that stood in front of his door. Moving to the kitchen, he opened his fridge and took out some of the leftovers from dinner the other night. Cracking open the containers, he put them in a dish and put them in the microwave to heat them up.

Eating by himself was something he didn't enjoy doing. He would usually go over to Jeongin's or Changbin's to eat. Something about eating alone was really depressing to him. Maybe it was because when his mother died, his family started eating in their rooms instead of at the dining table like they always used to. It was a reminder that his mother was gone, taken by her infliction, never to speak her soft words ever again.

So he called Changbin. He wasn't sure if the older would answer considering there was a possibility he was still working. After the third ring a familiar voice answered.

"Felix? What's up?" Changbin spoke, his rough voice twisted by the crackles of the phone.

"Hey Binnie, I wanted to ask if you wanted to come over to my place? I'm having dinner right now so I thought I'd ask in case you didn't feel like cooking."

"Actually that sounds perfect, text me your address and I'll be there in 5. I'm just packing up here."

"Okay cool! See you then."

Felix then realised that Changbin had never been to his house before. He quickly picked up the few items scattered on the floor so as to not seem like a messy person. He moved to the microwave and took the food out, dividing it into two portions, setting the table with chopsticks, spoons and glasses that he filled up with water.

He popped a painkiller in his mouth and washed it down with some water. He could feel a headache coming on.

His doorbell rang not even a minute later.

"You were right, you really were 5 minutes." Felix spoke when he saw Changbin in front of him, offering him a wide smile.

"I'm a man of my word."

Felix offered the older some slippers and Changbin took them gratefully, exchanging his own shoes for the soft white ones. As he did, he felt a small brown and white cat, bumping his head into his leg.

"That's Sir Nuzzle the 1st," Felix said with a laugh as Changbin sneezed. It seemed vaguely familiar until Changbin recognised it as the cat that Felix had saved from the river, the first time he'd ever seen him.

"Are you allergic?"

"Very, but it's okay. He's so cute," Changbin cooed, petting the small cat under his chin.

The two then walked over to the table and sat down, laughing together while spooning food into their mouths. In the periods of almost silent chewing, Changbin took his time to examine the room. There were multitudes of photo frames hung on the wall, most containing photos of what he assumed to be Felix's family. Felix must've noticed him staring and walked over to take some off the wall, showing them to Changbin closely explaining each in detail.

"This is my mum and my dad, and I have two sisters," Felix explained, pointing to each person as he named them. "This is my older sister Rachel and my younger sister Olivia."

"Your family is so cute."

"Yeah we were. My dad and sisters still live in Australia so I haven't seen them in a while. That reminds me, I should call them soon."

"That's a good idea."

"Speaking of which, how's your family?" Felix asked curiously.

"Well my mum and dad live in Yongin and my older sister is studying in America at the moment," Changbin said. "There's not really much to say about them to be honest. I was going to go and visit my parents maybe next weekend."

"You're going away?"

"Only for the weekend."

"Damn I was going to ask you if you wanted to hang out but that's okay! I'll just have to steal you lots this week to make up for it," Felix said, throwing his arms around Changbin.

"Or better yet, you could come with me. I was going to bring Chan as well."

"Wait really?"

'Of course, I told my mum about you and she said she wanted to meet you."

"You told your mum about me?"

"Yeah, I like checking in with her. She likes hearing from me so I like to talk to her often."

"Aw Binnie you're so cute!" Felix smiled, clutching Changbin tighter.

"I am not."

"You're even cuter when you lie." Felix teased.

"Shut up or I'm revoking your invite." Changbin said and Felix took his arms off the older and pretended to zip his lips closed, throwing away the key. Could Felix get any cuter?

What an adorable boy.
