 on the way to Aberdeen

Kirk's POV:

,,Okay, do we have everything? I'm not gonna start driving just to find out one of you forgot something,'' Cliff warned, settling himself into the driver's seat and starting the engine.

,,Yeah, Lia and I got everything,'' I said, my arm wrapped tightly around the brunette girl as we settled into our usual seats. But then Lia spoke up, her voice filled with concern.

,,Wait, where's Lars?'' she asked, noticing the unusual silence in the car. The rest of us looked around, slowly realizing that our fifth member was missing.

,,I don't know, didn't see him this morning,'' James said nonchalantly, taking a bite out of an apple and causing me to raise an eyebrow. Since when did he eat fruit at all?

But then the realization hit us all at once. ,,Wait...if you didn't wake him up, that means...'' I trailed off, unable to finish my thought.

,,Motherfucker is still sleeping,'' Lia whispered angrily to herself. Cliff repeated her sentiment, fuming as we all turned our heads towards James, who suddenly looked embarrassed.

,,Can't we just leave him?'' Lia asked in frustration, causing me to snort. ',,No love, we can't,'' I whispered in her ear before softly kissing her forehead. She sighed in defeat and leaned her head against the window.

Lia wasn't one to mess around when it came to plans and schedules. She had been planning this trip for over a month now and wouldn't let Lars ruin it for them.

,,James Hetfield, what are you waiting for? Get your lazy ass out of the car and wake Lars up. And please hurry, I ain't got all day,'' Lia hissed angrily. I couldn't help but admire her fiery determination as she glared at James. ,,Oh, and if you don't come back in ten minutes, we're leaving without you,'' she added with an evil grin on her lips.

,,But that's-'' James stuttered, clearly panicking.

,,One more word and I'll make it five minutes. Now go,'' Lia commanded, her usually sweet voice laced with authority. James quickly opened the car door and rushed towards their apartment, almost tripping on the first stair. I couldn't help but chuckle at his clumsy exit

,,Don't you think that's a little harsh?'' Cliff asked, clearly amused by the situation.,,Harsh? No way. He's the one who's sharing a room with Lars, he had one job and he messed it up. Not my problem,'' Lia replied firmly, as I wrapped my arm tighter around her and breathed in her amazing scent.

A few minutes later, we heard the van door open and a sleepy Lars appeared, rubbing his eyes as he climbed into the van. James followed closely behind, carrying Lars' backpack.

,,I thought you wanted to visit them on your birthday, Lia. And as far as I know, your birthday isn't until next month,'' Lars complained drowsily as he settled beside me.

,,Yes, my birthday is next month, but I also said that I wanted to be there for Kurt's birthday which is next week. You would know this if you actually listened to me when I talk,'' Lia snapped at Lars, obviously still angry with him. Lars looked like a child about to cry as he mumbled a quick ''sorry'' before turning away from Lia in fear.
