"My friends claim the same!" She let out a carefree giggle which leaves Farhaan hypnotised at the harmonious sound which he has been addicted to lately,
"But I don't believe this," she puckers her lips in thought as if she finds it unbelievable. "Nobody knows you more than yourself." Turning her head to find him gazing above at the sky, she states.
A smile forms at the corner of his mouth but he remains silent on that.
"Don't you agree?" After anticipating his take on that and slightly curious at his quite response, she inquires.
"I don't." He retorts thoughtfully to which she knits her brows.
"Mind enlightening me!"
She is now on that 'give me a valid explanation if you disagree' mode which is quite new yet refreshingly to Farhaan's eyes; it was his practice of behaving.
"I don't know why people insist on knowing themselves. " he drawls. "It's even hard enough to know what to wear."
His random remark has successfully pushed her in thoughts but he adds.
"People call they know you." He asks with sudden interest rising in his tone.
She nods, affirming him.
"But I can guarantee that I know you better than anyone." He has now turned side to face her properly.
His confidence and courage stunned her as her heart does a flip suddenly at the way he was looking at her. Finding no other way to get an escape from his unflinching gaze, she sits upright feeling her heart suddenly going out of the way.
Farhaan mirrors her actions on reflex and comfortably cross his legs. "I have a valid point here." He jests and she shakes her head, amazed.
"Let's put you on a trial then!" She says, confidently.
Annabiya finds it completely impossible. Nobody has ever understood her complex thought process so far, hence she tells him to justify it, almost giving him a challenge not knowing Farhaan was a champion in it.
"The pleasure is all mine." He accepts gleefully.
She waits passively as he takes his dear time before starting.
"The girl I know is bold and straight." His sudden enthusiasm has clearly hooked her attention to him.
Supporting her face in the bowl of her hands, she listened with interest.
"She says whatever comes to her mind;
People judge her for this,
But she doesn't mind it;
She loves easily and often get her heart broken,
But she does it again and again like nothing happened;
She craves love the kind authors talk about in books,
Where their hearts start beating faster with only a look;"Her heart hitches at this moment as she hears him narrating it so deeply. Telling her whole life with his words. She feels so flushed with the fever; embarrassed by the truth. She internally prays that he will finish but he just keeps out all.
"Sometimes she feels lonely in her own family;
So she reads books to get an escape from her reality;
But now not even her books help her find an escape,
So now she writes her heart out for her soul not to ache;"He speaks as if he know her since a long time. In all her darkest spaces and in a slow yet abrupt move, he looks right through her as if she isn't there not allowing her the time to react and he just keeps on staring: freaking deep and strong. His actions lately making her heart throb frantically.
And in that moment, she is caught. She is never displayed the way he did. In a crystal clear manner with such ease.
Her soul bare to his eyes. He doesn't need any approval because her eyes says that the girl inside her, is none other than what he has explained.
That's what she fears.
A deep-thinker like her, she is always more afraid of being understood than of being misunderstood.
And he did. He has found her in the right place. He's got her!
What do you'll think?
How was it?
