Chapter 11 - Ben..

THIRD PERSON POV

It was early in the morning, the sun was up, and everyone was doing what they needed to do.

Since Kai was a slopper, she basically had nothing else to do. Until "Kai!!?" Someone yelled from the garden.

Kai rushed to the person, it was Newt. "Hey Kai, could you maybe get some fertilizer for us please?" Newt asked with a soft smile.

"Oh sure!"  "Thanks Kai.." He handed the basket with the shovel to Kai.

Kai immediately went to the woods to get fertilizer. "Come on Kai you can do this.." She said with a hint of fear in her voice, "You know where it is.. It's just out in the middle of the woods.." She said as she looked around.

Soon she bumped into this thing that looked like some sort of grave, there were bones and skeletons all over.. She saw "George.." written on it, then there was blood, it looked fresh.

She turned around to see Ben, "Oh! Hi Ben!" She said with a smile, but Ben, he looked weird, he was breathing heavily, growling.

"Ben you're scaring me.." She moved backwards, "Are you ok?" She asked.

Ben lunged on Kai, and she screamed "BEN GET OFF ME!!"  "Your brother did this, it's his fault! I saw him!!" Ben growled.

Ben was squishing, crushing Kai's wrist, "AHHHH!!" She yelled in pain. She tried to get him off her, but she was too weak, she grabbed what looked like an animal skull and bashed it on Ben in krder to get away.

Kai ran as fast as she can while yelling out for help, "AHHH SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!" Until they both tripped from the steep slope.

The gladers heard her screams, as they ran out of the woods the other gladers ran to Kai to help her. "AHH!" She screamed when Ben grabbed her leg to attack again.

"Hey!" Newt yelled as he hit Ben with his hoe, "Hold him down!" He added.

The others gladers held him down, "Calm down.." Gally told Ben "Ben, Calm Down"

"Yo, what the hell happened?!" Frypan asked, "I don't know?! He just attacked me!" Kai panted.

"You ok?" Chuck asked Kai while rubbing her back, and she just nodded.

Newt went in front, "No.. No.. No!" Ben repeated, "Lift his shirt" Newt said, "I didn't mean it, I swear!!" Ben struggled.

"Lift his shirt!" Newt repeated. The glader then lifted his shirt, showing Bens sting mark, his skin was very pale by that part, his veins turning purple and black..

The other gladers backed up while Ben said "No, no.. Please, please.."  "He's been stung" Newt said, stating the obvious, "In the middle of the day?" Gally said.

"Please. Please, just help." Ben begged. "Put him in the pit." Newt ordered.

The gladers helped each other to bring Ben to the pit, while Ben kept begging and resisting.

Kai was in shock and asked Newt what happened, Newt explained "It's called the Changing, it happens when someone gets stung." Newt took a deep breath. "We haven't been able to get a clear word out of him yet. He's dangerous now, and it'll only get worse.." He sighed.

"Alby is in a coma, and your brother is still exhausted and injured, although the medjacks said his wounds were healing already.." Newt sighed, "Did Ben say anything to you?" He asked, "Uhh, well he said something about it being Thomas' fault and that he saw him" Kai blurted out.

"Alright well get some rest kiddo.." Newt patted her head and left, "Wait, what's gonna happen to him?" Kai asked, but Newt didn't answer.
