TEJASSWI'S POV

Karan came out of the bathroom and he was almost naked having a single towel on his torso and I tried to avert my eyes from his perfect abs and chiseled chest. His muscular arms were busy in drying his hairs with another towel and my eyes were busy in observing his biceps.

Gosh, how can someone be so perfect?

I didn't notice since how long I was staring at him. I came outfrom my trance when he cleared his throat and my eyes met with his and he smirked at me.

Karan: Like what you see?

He passed a sarcastic comment and my face started turning red due to embarrassment. I stood from the bed and started walking towards the bathroom. I closed the door but I heard him chuckling at my reaction before closing the door.

Shit. Why do I make myself embarrassed every single time in front of him?

I shrugged the thought and took a quick shower. I wore a pink sleeveless top and white shorts and came out of the bathroom. I was drying my hairs with the towel and my eyes fell on the reflection of Karan into the mirror.

He was watching me and he had a different expression on his face at that time but I didn't know what kind of emotion he must be feeling at that time.

I averted my eyes from him and tied my hairs in a loose bun and secured it with a bun stick. My eyes again noticed his reflection into the mirror. His expressions changed and now he had a frown on his face. I found it weird because one moment ago he was looking at me with a different emotion but now he had a weird expression all of a sudden. What's with the sudden mood swings of him?

I left the room and walked into the kitchen to prepare the dinner. I prepared  Kadhi Chawal. For desert, there was ice cream already in the fridge so that will do for today.

I took the bowls and plates to the dining table and waited for Karan to end his call.

When I was in the kitchen, he was talking to someone on the phone and by listening to his replies, I can say that it was work related so I didn't disturb him and let him come by himself. He looked at me while talking and ordered the person to send the details via email and cut the call.

I started serving the dinner and he took first bite and he moaned. He didn't say anything but I blushed after hearing his moan. It was the proof that he liked the food even though he didn't say anything.

I waited for him to finish the dinner and when he noticed that I wasn't eating, he stopped eating and frown at me.

Karan: Don't you have appetite?

Tejasswi: I...Uhmm..yes. I will eat after you will finish.

Karan: Nonsense. Eat. Now.

He ordered and I immediately started filling my plate with the food. We both didn't say anything until we finished the dinner and when we were done eating the food. I took the plates and took out the ice cream from the fridge and gave it to him.

We both started eating our ice cream and I dropped some on my chin while eating. I placed the ice cream cup on the table and extended my hand to take a tissue from the table and he looked at my hand and then towards my face.

I felt embarrassed for spilling the ice cream like a child and apologized immediately but his gaze was on my chin and I noticed his adam apple moving up and down when he gulped down audibly while looking at me.

I took the tissue and wiped the ice cream from my chin and then only he cleared his throat and started eating his ice cream once again. I finished my ice cream and stood from my chair to wash the dishes and at the same time, he also stood from his seat. I was going to walk in the kitchen when he came in front of me and pulled the bun stick from my hairs and let them fall down on my back.

I looked at him to find any emotion but he walked away and started talking on the call. I went to the kitchen and started washing the dishes. I was stealing glances but he was busy with his phone calls and didn't look at me once. I was getting confused with his actions day by day. I decided to ignore him and started focusing on my cleaning.

KARAN'S POV

I was checking my email when Tejasswi came out of the bathroom. She was looking so cute in shorts and that sleeveless top. She was drying her hairs with towel and I was unable to take my eyes off of her. She sat down in front of the mirror and looked to see her reflection into the mirror and our eyes met for few seconds and then she started drying her hairs again.

After few minutes later she tied her wet hairs in a bun and I didn't like it because she was looking beautiful with her loose hairs and her hairs were wet also. She looked at me with a questioning look for few seconds but then she exited the room.

After few minutes later when I went downstairs, I found her preparing the food in the kitchen and she was so busy that she didn't notice my presence. I called my secretary to talk about something work related and my eyes never left her sight. I was checking her in between my conversation with my secretary and she also looked at me few times.

Almost 15 minutes later she placed the plates and food on the dining table and sat down on the chair. She didn't eat anything and was looking at me, maybe she was waiting for me to end the call. I found it a little bit weird because I thought she was a gold digger and only cares about herself. She just pretend to be good girl but the reality must be something else and I also thought that why she would wait for me? She could have eat without me but she didn't. I ended the call and came to the dining table.

As soon as I took my seat, she started serving the food and I started eating. When I looked towards her, I found it strange that I was the only one who was eating. She was just sitting there and I didn't wait to ask her about it. She told me that she will eat after I'll be done eating my food. What rubbish ? I told her to eat at that moment and maybe I said it in my usual domineering voice because she immediately started filling her plate with food.

We finished our food and she took the ice cream and gave it to me and took one for her. Usually I don't like sweets but I don't know why, when she gave the ice cream to me, I didn't deny and took it silently. I started eating ice cream and she also did the same.

Few drops of melted ice cream fell on her chin and she immediately looked at me with a guilty face like she committed a crime and apologized immediately. She stood to take a tissue from the table and her cheek was almost in front of my lips and I wanted to turn her face towards me to lick that ice cream from her chin. I wanted to tell her that it's not a crime and there's no need to apologize for that but I controlled myself. I cleared my throat and turned my gaze away from her. I started eating my ice cream once again.

As soon as she finished her ice cream, she started walking towards the kitchen to clean it. I stood from my chair after finishing the last scoop of my ice cream and stood in front of her. She looked at me in confusion but I didn't took another second and pulled her bun stick from her hairs and let them fall on her back. Her eyes went wide in shock for a matter of second but then her expressions changed into confused one but I left her in confusion when got a call from my secretary once again.

I was busy on the call and Tejasswi was doing the dishes. I was checking her in between but network started getting disturb so I went outside of the house for few seconds and when I came back inside, she wasn't in the kitchen.

I thought she must be in the bedroom so I also went to my bedroom but there was no sign of her in the bedroom also.

I lied on the bed, thinking that she must be doing something and will come back soon. I started scrolling my Instagram feeds and didn't notice when I dozed off.
