TEJASSWI'S POV

I woke up in the morning and realized that the devil wasn't in the room. Maybe he didn't return since last night. Thank God, that's a relief actually because if he could have seen me here sleeping peacefully, he could have done everything to hurt me and ruin my sleep. I was feeling fresh after having a great sleep. Before he could return, I decided to take a bath and immediately rushed towards the bathroom.

I got freshen up and took a quick shower. There were so many branded shampoos and conditioners which I've never seen in my life. I took a shower jel which smelled like rose and applied it. I washed it off and after wrapping a towel around my body, I exited the bathroom. I took a glance here and there and found nobody and that was again a relief so I immediately unpacked my stuffs and took out a white jeans and turquoise blue shirt and ran inside the bathroom once again to change because I didn't want to take any risk.

After changing my clothes, I came out of the bathroom and combed my hairs without bothering to dry them because I was so scared of that devil. I didn't want to be around him so I decided to get up early every day and keep myself busy whole day in house chores and enter in the bedroom when he will fall asleep.

I went to open the door to escape from the bedroom in a hope that I will be hiding from the devil until he'll be back but as soon as I opened the door, the first thing I noticed was the devil himself. Great. What a lovely start of a day. I bowed my head immediately and tried to exit the room but he stopped me by calling my name.

Karan: Where do you think you are going, Tejasswi?

My eyes went wide in shock and I didn't dare to turn or I must say I was too scared to look at him. Oh God! Please save me from this devil.

When I didn't say anything, he again speak but this time, with a little bit frustration in his voice.

Karan: Didn't I ask you something?

Tejasswi: Ye..yes.

Karan: Tell me where are you going?

Tejasswi: I..I was going to prepare the..... breakfast for everyone.

Karan: I have plenty of servants for that and I don't think a gold digger like you knows anything about the house chores so just stop pretending because you won't get anything in return.

Tejasswi: I am not...

He didn't let me finish my sentence.

Karan: Shut up and come here.

I knew it. I can't ignore him. I should have known that he won't let me live in his house peacefully. I turned towards him after gaining some strength but my eyes were still fixed on the floor. I started taking slow and steady steps towards him until there was no more space between me and him and now we were standing in front of each other and I could feel his hot breathe falling on my face. Gross, he smelled like alcohol. I had an urge to puke but tried to control myself.

I looked at him and found that he wasn't in the same mood like he was yesterday. He had a different mood today and he seemed serious but I was still scared. His presence was enough to make me gulp down in fear.

Karan: Here, take this.

He gave a file in my hand and I looked at him in confusion.

Tejasswi: Wh..what is it?

Karan: You have only one day to read this and I won't hear a no from you so just read it and sign it.

An unknown fear started taking it's place inside my heart.

What is it? Are these divorce papers?

TEJASSWI'S POV

As soon as Karan left to take a shower, I immediately opened the file and read it. It wasn't what I expected. Instead of divorce papers, he gave me a file and it was related to contract. I read it clearly and I was getting more and more shocked after reading each and every line. There were so many rules that I started thinking if I would be able to remember or not.

There was a disclaimer and I understood after reading it that according to this contract, I was party B and the one who was being referred as party A was Karan.

Rules of the contract were like this:

1. Party B have no right on the life of party A. She got married with party A so she has to accompany party A everywhere whenever it is needed and Party B can't deny it.

2. Party A is free to do anything as he doesn't own anything from party B but party B will not do anything without the permission of party A.

3. Party B will not get involve in relationship with other guys.

4. There won't be any type of physical intimacy between party A and party B.

5. Rule no. 4 is applied only when both parties will be all alone in the room. They could touch, kiss and have limited physical contact between them if it's needed in public as they are husband and wife and it can't be denied by the society.

6. Whenever both parties will be alone, party B will not talk to party A until it's not necessary.

7. In the room, party B will not sleep on the same bed with party A.

8. Party B should respect of party A and his family, friends and colleagues. If party A found out that party B has disrespected any of them, party A have every right to punish party B. Punishment can be anything whichever party A want to give to party B, it's all depends on the mood of party A

9. Party A is a very famous and rich person and he is always surrounded by paparazzi so party A can make changes in rules according to his situation, only if it's needed.

10. In front of everyone, party A and party B will pretend like a normal husband and wife but behind closed doors, there won't be any kind of bond between them.

11. Party B has to maintain the standard of living according to party A.

12. The contract should be kept secret between party A and party B.

There were many more rules and in the end it was written that either I will agree to his terms and conditions or I will get divorced.

There was no choice because I wanted to choose the divorce without even thinking but I only stopped myself just for my father. He never wanted me to go back to his house which was nothing more than a hell. I wish I could tell him that even this house isn't different from my father's house.

Karan's parents loves me but this devil hates me for no reason.

I Sighed after reading the whole contract twice, in a hope to remember everything and signed the contract because even I didn't want to do anything with him. I was happy that he wouldn't do anything to me behind closed doors. We will live like strangers. The only things I was stressed about was the thing where we have to act like husband and wife and more than that we have to perform well and it will include physical touch and that was the thing about which I was so insecure and scared.

I signed the papers and left them on the nightstand and left the room.
