KARANS'S POV

I came out of the bathroom and found Teju sitting on the floor. I observed the room and my eyes fell on the laptop screen where the video was playing, it was the footage which John supposed to bring here. Did he just drop the footage in my absence? Shit.

Karan: Tejuuuu?

She stopped sobbing and turned her face to look at me. Her eyes were red and puffy and she was looking somewhat angry and hurt. I came closer to her and thankfully she didn't try to push me away from her. She looked into my eyes to find an answer which was completely visible in her eyes.

Karan: Teju, did John come here?

She simply nodded like a child and my heart broke into million pieces after looking at her state at that moment. She was on the verge of crying once again but she managed to ask the question which must be bothering her since John left.

Tejasswi: Karan, please tell me it's just a misunderstanding. Her eyes were pleading for an answer and a tear escaped from my eyes by looking at her face. I cupped her cheeks and simply nodded in agreement.

Karan: Yes wifey, it's a misunderstanding. The footage is real but I wasn't the one who captured the video. I'll explain but please sit down first, please?

Tejasswi: Hm.

She nodded several times before sitting on the bed and looked at her shaky hands. I followed her gaze and took her hands in mine and pressed them to assure her. I kissed her forehead softly and she sighed trying to relax herself but her breathe came out unsteady.

Karan: I won't drag anything Teju because you deserves to know the truth and the sooner you will get to know about it the better it will be for you, Baby, I got a call from your dad that day when we were at my parent's place I told her everything from, her dad calling me to how he ended his call after putting his demands first and his disgusting comments on Teju.

When I finished talking, she looked at me in disbelief. She blinked few times to process her thoughts and abruptly stand up from the bed and started walking away but I stopped her by holding her wrist.

Karan: Where are you going love?

Tejasswi: I believed everything you said but whatever you said about my father, it can't be true. He will never do something like that to me. He is my Father for God's sake and how can a father think of raping his own daughter? I'm going to ask for an explanation from my father, let me go Karan.

Karan: You can't go there, it's too dangerous for you Teju. That man clearly said that he wants to take your virginity and he only pretended to love you because he was waiting for the day when you'll grow up and he will use you as per his choice to earn money.

Tejasswi: You are making excuses, Karan. Let me go, if you are telling the truth.

Karan: Believe me or not but I'm not gonna let you go and destroy yourself until I'm alive.

Tejasswi: Do you have any proof that it was my father who captured this footage ? Or atleast proove that my father blackmailed you. Can you proove that? No, right? Then let me go, Karan because I want to know the truth.

She freed herself from my hold and started walking towards the door. She opened the door but before she could leave, I closed the door pushing it hardly and turned her to face me.

Karan: Why don't you listen to me, Teju? I'm doing this for you and I am trying to save you. Why don't you get that?

Tejasswi: You are only talking rubbish Karan because you don't love me. You are just planning to insult me in front of everyone and you were the one who captured the video because only we both were there in the room at our first night.

Karan: If only you could give me half of the love you have for your father...

I took a pause before continuing. I pulled her back towards the bed and made her sit on the bed. I knew it that she will not believe in me that's why ........
